    Description

For the Petsitting I am looking for someone for the end of September approximately 3 weeks or longer if you are available. If you are a couple or 2 friends the 2nd person is welcome to stay with you and help in the garden or with painting or small diy jobs.

In the future, ideally I would like to find a long term person or couple who need a base to work from home, or who are retired.

Until I find the right person for this I am looking for shorter stays.
For short stays I organise it a month ahead, so please take this into consideration when replying.

We start early morning at 8am feeding cleaning the stable, poop picking the paddocks, and filling fresh water for the hens and garden birds etc approximately 2 hours.
After this it’s free time to relax by the pool or prepare something to eat in the outside kitchen or chill out on the sofa in the air conditioning in the inside kitchen. Both kitchens have WIFI and seating areas if you need to work on your laptop.

At lunchtime at about 13.00 you give the Pony his lunch .
    Approximately 15 minutes.

In the afternoons you may like to take the bus to the beach or Palma or walk to the village or continue relaxing at home,

At 18.30 you start the evening routine grooming and feeding/ watering. About 2 hours .

And generally keeping the stable yard and hens area clean and tidy.

If you would like to have an occasional day out whilst I am away , it can be arranged that one of tenants can give the pony his lunch to enable you to go out after the morning routine and arrive back for the evening routine.

    ----
I spend a few days showing you the routine before I go to the UK to visit my parents. Then when I’m back you have all your days off together that you have worked whilst I was away and I look after the animals.

You must have had some experience handling a pony.
For example putting on a headcollar, walking the pony to the paddock and walking with him back from the paddock .Grooming, feeding, watering. Being aware of if he looks like he is not feeling well.

You also need to be Comfortable picking up a hen if necessary.

    ——————-
At various times through the year
I need someone or 2 friends or a couple who enjoys working with their hands and is happy helping with maintenance such as light gardening, painting, tidying tool sheds and storage sheds , mending chicken coops, changing broken wooden rails in the Pony paddock. There is always some maintenance to do.
October we will begin trimming the small trees and bushes and making bonfires.
So if these are things you enjoy then let me know and we can see if we can organise dates .
    —————
I am looking for a quiet person who would enjoy the countryside and peacefulness , the nice weather, the animals , relaxing by the pool.or wandering to the typical small Spanish village. They must be a responsible, energetic, motivated person, with a good sense of humour
    .
It is very peaceful and quiet here, but it is NOT an isolated farm in the middle of nowhere, the house is in a SEMI RURAL area on a road.

I have full time Spanish and English lodgers who rent rooms in the house and work during the day. In the evenings or weekends they are around to enjoy their company and practise language skills

The accommodation is a caravan as a bedroom and the main kitchen in the house or the outside kitchen is used for preparing meals and there is also a private bathroom with a shower in the downstairs of the house for you to use.
The caravan has its own garden area, for you to have your own space and independence but the main gardens and pool and outside kitchen are also for you to use.
You must be comfortable sleeping in the caravan with the windows open in summer and there is a fan to keep you cool.
In the daytime the large shared kitchen has a sofa , air conditioning and Wifi for relaxing out of the daytime heat.

We have a casita ( little house) in the garden that we will be starting work on to replace the roof. When this is completed it will become the accommodation.

The oranges and grapefruit are ready on the trees at December and it’s great to make fresh juice for breakfast. The Lemons are ready spring and early summer. and if they are not all picked are still there for most of the summer. . There are herbs growing in the garden , sage, rosemary, thyme, chives and lots of Aloe Vera plants.

To go to the village is about 25 minutes walk The village has an abundance of restaurants, bars and shops, banks, typical of a small Spanish village.

There is a bus stop at the end of the road (700m ) to go to the city of Palma which the bus takes 20 minutes to get there.
In Palma city there is a beach that you can walk to or just enjoy the city or from there you can get buses to lots of areas of the city and around the Island.

Another bus stop a bit further from the house takes you directly to the east side of the Island to different areas and beaches.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

The village is a typical traditional Spanish village where you will be able to practise your Spanish. The locals love to help!
There are the traditional fiestas and celebrations of Mallorca in the plaza and a small market.

Spanish language practice if required at home or alternatively I am a iTEFL teacher.
