  Description

  We (Stefanie and Kimon and our daughter Julia, 12) moved to Crete in May 2021 with our Icelandic horse Runa , dogs and Mieze. In November 2021 we found our dream place. We are building a self-sufficient and sustainable self-sufficient farm. We brought this beautiful piece of earth out of its slumber, it lay fallow for almost 8 years. There is a house and a small guest house on it, which need minor and major renovations. It is about 4 km from the beautiful beach in Georgiopouli and offers peace, lots of nature and the opportunity to make beautiful trips in the area. A beautiful freshwater lake with taverns and pedal boat rentals is also only a few kilometers away. Rethymno (about 20 minutes by car or bus away) and the beach bars and villages here by the sea are ideal for culture and excursions. The nearest village is about 2 km away (nice tavern, supermarket etc. inclusive). Our goal is to create a place here where people have the opportunity to come into contact with nature and animals again, in order to reconnect with themselves and their wishes, goals and visions. We start by growing our own vegetables and fruit and supply ourselves with our own electricity (solar and wind power). I (Stefanie) am a naturopath and therapist and love to spend time with my horse. I support people to find their individual path to physical and mental health. Kimon is a craftsman and loves to create new things out of all sorts of old things. We try to build and create as much as possible sustainably on our farm, all with a lot of creativity, a sense of beauty and of course a lot of fun and humor.
  
  Wir (Stefanie und Kimon sowie unsere Tochter Julia, 12) sind mit unserem Isländer Runa und Mieze im Mai 2021 nach Kreta gezogen. Im November 2021 haben wir unseren Traumplatz gefunden. Wir bauen einen autarken und nachhaltigen Selbstversorgerhof auf.
  
  Wir haben dieses schöne Fleckchen Erde aus dem Dornröschenschlaf geholt, es lag für knapp 7 Jahre brach. Es befindet sich ein Haus und ein kleines Gästehaus darauf, welche kleinere und größere Renovierungsarbeiten benötigen. Es liegt knapp 4 km vom schönen Strand in Georgiopouli entfernt und bietet Ruhe, viel Natur und die Möglichkeit wunderschöne Ausflüge in die Umgebung zu machen. Ein schöner Süsswasser See mit Tavernen und Tretbootverleih ist ebenfalls nur ein paar Kilometer entfernt. Für Kultur und Ausflüge bietet sich Rethymno (ca 20 Autominuten entfernt) sowie die Strandbars und Dörfer hier am Meer an. Das nächste Dorf ist ca 2 km entfernt (schöne Taverne, Supermarkt etc inclusive).
  
  Unser Ziel ist es, hier einen Ort zu erschaffen, in dem Menschen wieder die Möglichkeit haben in Kontakt zur Natur und Tieren zu kommen um dadurch wieder in Verbindung zu sich und ihren Wünschen, Zielen und Visionen zu kommen. Wir starten damit, unser eigenes Gemüse und Obst anzubauen und versorgen uns mit eigenem Strom (Solar -und Windkraft).
  
  Ich (Stefanie) bin Heilpraktikerin und Therapeutin und liebe es mit meinen Pferden Zeit zu verbringen. Ich unterstütze Menschen dabei ihren individuellen Weg zur körperlichen und mentalen Gesundheit zu finden.
  Kimon ist Handwerker und liebt es aus allen möglichen alten Sachen neues zu kreieren. Wir versuchen auf unserem Hof so viel wie möglich nachhaltig zu verbauen und zu erschaffen, das Ganze mit viel Kreativität, dem Sinn für Schönheit und natürlich viel Spass und Humor.

  We like to go on trips together in the area, Kimon has Greek roots (dad is Greek) and also speaks Greek, so that a direct exchange with the locals is possible. But you can also get to know the area and the people in the region on your own. Due to our versatile skills (manual, medical, therapeutic work with horses, etc.) there is always the opportunity to learn new skills.
  
  Wir unternehmen gerne gemeinsame Ausflüge in die Umgebung, Kimon hat griechische Wurzeln (der Papa ist Grieche) und spricht auch griechisch, so dass ein Austausch mit den Einheimischen direkt möglich ist. Aber auch alleine kann man die Gegend und die Menschen in der Region gut kennen lernen. Durch unseren vielseitigen Fähigkeiten (handwerklich, medizinisch, Therapeutische Arbeit mit Pferden etc) bietet sich immer die Möglichkeit neue Fähigkeiten zu erlernen.

  Aide

  We would like active support with various manual activities related to the renovation of our houses (painting and plastering, installing and converting windows) as well as gardening (creating new gardens, caring for the plants), building paddocks and stables for the horses, fences exchange, care for the animals - knowledge of horses would be an advantage but not a requirement - but someone with experience in setting up social media, content creation, etc. would also be a great thing.
  
  Wir wünschen uns tatkräftige Unterstützung bei diversen handwerklichen Tätigkeiten rund um die Renovierung unserer Häuser (Malen und Verputzen, Fenster ein- und umbauen) sowie Gartenarbeiten (Anlegen neuer Gärten, Versorgung der Pflanzen).Ende November bis Anfang Januar ist bei uns Oliven Ernte dort benötigen wir auch immer tatkräftige Unterstützung.
  Außerdem sind noch diverse arbeiten für die Pferde z.B. Koppel- und Stallbauen für die Pferde, Zäune austauschen, Versorgung der Tiere - Kenntnisse im Bereich Pferde wäre von Vorteil aber nicht Voraussetzung -, aber auch jemand mit Erfahrung im Aufbau von Social-Media-Bereich, Content Erstellung etc wäre eine tolle Sache.

  Hébergement

  We have a nice renovated caravan that you can stay in. On our plateau there is the possibility to set up a tent in peace and quiet (a yurt is also planned). Until the outside toilet and shower are finished, there is of course the possibility to use the bathroom in the house (a camping toilet is in the caravan, water for washing dishes, brushing teeth, etc. is also available in the caravan). Gas can also be used to cook in the caravan. Meals: Coffee, tea, milk and bread with butter/jam/honey, eggs and muesli are available for breakfast. We cook one warm meal per day (on the days off everyone is allowed to take care of themselves).
  
  Wir haben einen schönen renovierten Wohnwagen in dem du unterkommen kannst. Auf unserem Plateau bietet sich die Möglichkeit in Ruhe und Abseits ein Zelt aufzubauen (eine Yurte ist ebenfalls in Planung).
  Bis die Aussentoilette und Dusche fertiggestellt ist besteht natürlich die Möglichkeit das Badezimmer im Haus zu benutzen (eine Campingtoilette ist im Wohnwagen, Wasser zum Abwaschen, Zähneputzen etc ist ebenfalls im Wohnwagen vorhanden). Mit Gas kann ebenfalls im Wohnwagen gekocht werden.
  
  Zur Verpflegung:
  Zum Frühstück steht Kaffee, Tee, Milch sowie Brot mit Butter/Marmelade/Honig, Eier und Müsli zur Verfügung.
  Wir kochen eine warme Mahlzeit pro Tag (an den freien Tagen darf sich jeder selber versorgen).
