  Description

  Hello! We are a family of five. Luis and I are parents to Leo (11 years old), Jara (8 years old) and Julia (4 years old). We live in Murcia, which is a small city in Spain (not so small anymore) that is very sunny and very warm.
  
  My children go to a school with an active education project where they speak English. I am a Spanish language teacher at the secondary school and Luis has a small telecommunications company and works outside almost all day. I have studied English, Luis has not, but a long time ago and I am very rusty, but well, the important thing is that little by little we understand each other... hehe. I also did my Erasmus in Italy, although a long time ago, but well, I know some Italian.
  
  We live in a housing estate that is connected to the centre of Murcia by bus. We live in a duplex near the mountain, but very close to Murcia. We have three rooms and an attic where we can host our volunteers.
  
  I cook almost every day for the children and myself. We eat a healthy diet. We try not to eat sugar, sweeteners, or many processed foods and we try to eat as healthily as possible. We eat mainly vegetables, fruit, meat, fish and seeds. However, we can always adapt and try and make new recipes. That is not a problem for us.
  
  The children like sports, reading, playing with friends, spending time in nature...
  
  Our life is quite homely during the week, but we like to go out on the weekends to nature or to do activities.
  
  In recent years we have had volunteers from Malta, Italy, Australia and the USA and we have had very enriching experiences with all of them. We continue to be in contact with them and we have very good memories.
  
  We really like nature, going to the mountains, going for walks in the mountains, going to the beach, etc. We will try to show our volunteer beautiful corners of our autonomous community, but we also like him to have the freedom to go out and do his things and enjoy our region.

  Hola! Somos una familia de cinco miembros. Luis y yo y somos papás de Leo (11 años), Jara (8 años) y Julia (4 años). Vivimos en Murcia, que es una pequeña ciudad de España (cada vez no tan pequeña) muy soleada y muy cálida.
  
  Mi hijos van a una escuela con un proyecto de educación activa donde hablan inglés. Yo soy profesora de Lengua castellana en la escuela secundaria y Luis tiene una pequeña empresa de telecomunicaciones y trabaja fuera casi todo el día. Yo he estudiado inglés, Luis no, pero hace mucho tiempo y lo tengo muy oxidado, pero bueno, lo importante es que poco a poco nos vayamos entendiendo...jeje. También hice mi Erasmus en Italia, aunque hace mucho tiempo, pero bueno, algo de italiano sé.
  
  Vivimos en una urbanización que está conectada con el centro de Murcia por autobús. Vivimos en un dúplex cerca de la montaña, pero muy cerca de Murcia. Tenemos tres habitaciones y una buhardilla en la que podemos acoger a nuestros voluntarios.
  
  Yo cocino casi todos los días para los niños y para mí. Tenemos una alimentación saludable. Intentamos no tomamos azúcar, edulcorantes, ni muchos procesados e intentamos comer lo más sano posible. Comemos sobre todo verduras, fruta, carne, pescado y semillas. De todas formas, siempre podemos adaptarnos y probar y hacer nuevas recetas. Eso no es un problema para nosotros.
  
  A los niños les gustan los deportes, leer, jugar con los amigos, pasar tiempo en la naturaleza...
  
  Nuestra vida es bastante casera entre semana, pero nos gusta salir los fines de semana a la naturaleza o a hacer actividades.
  
  Estos años hemos tenido voluntarios de Malta, Italia, Australia y EEUU y con todos tuvimos experiencias muy enriquecedoras. Seguimos teniendo contacto con ellos y guardamos muy buen recuerdo.
  
  
  Nos gusta mucho la naturaleza, ir al monte, salir a pasear por la montaña, ir a la playa, etc. A nuestro voluntario intentaremos enseñarle rincones bonitos de nuestra comunidad autónoma, pero eso sí, también nos gusta que tenga libertad para salir y hacer sus cosas y disfrute de nuestra región.

  We can teach our region, our gastronomy, our lifestyle. We can teach our language, since I am a Spanish teacher. In addition, Murcia is a small city, but with good transport to get to know nearby regions such as Andalusia, Madrid, the Valencian community or Barcelona. We love to cook and teach our dishes to our guests and enjoy the sun, the sea and nature.
  
  Nosotros podemos enseñar nuestra región, nuestra gastronomía, nuestro estilo de vida. Podemos enseñar nuestro idioma, ya que yo soy profesora de español. Además, Murcia es una ciudad pequeña, pero con buen transporte para conocer regiones cercanas como Andalucía, Madrid, comunidad Valenciana o Barcelona.
  A nosotros nos encanta cocinar y enseñar nuestros platos a nuestros huéspedes y disfrutar del sol, el mar y la naturaleza.

  Aide

  We would like the person who comes to speak to the children in English, play with the children in English, teach them a song, do a craft or help them with their homework. In the mornings, Luis and I work, so the person who stays at home will have to spend an hour or so in the morning tidying up the house a bit, tidying up the kitchen (putting on and taking off the dishwasher) and making the beds. Food doesn't have to. House keeping only. In the afternoons spend about three hours with the children teaching English, going down with them to the park, playing, singing or doing crafts. This during the week, on weekends and on many Fridays you will have them free to do whatever you want.
  
  Nos gustaría que la persona que viniese hablase con los niños en inglés, que jugase con los niños en inglés, enseñarles alguna canción, hacer alguna manualidad o ayudarles con los deberes. Por las mañanas, Luis y yo trabajamos así que la persona que se quede en casa tendrá que ocuparse una hora más o menos por la mañana en recoger un poco la casa, recoger la cocina (poner y quitar el lavavajillas) y hacer las camas. La comida no la tiene que hacer. Solo mantenimiento de la casa. Por las tardes estar unas tres horas con los niños enseñando inglés, bajando con ellos al parque, jugando, cantando o haciendo manualidades. Esto entre semana, los fines de semana y muchos viernes los tendrá libres para hacer lo que quiera.
