  Our place is surrounded by nature, peaceful, and full of furry friends. It's a cozy and professional animal hotel located in the beautiful hills of Alanya, Turkey. We provide a safe and loving environment for cats and dogs while their owners are away. Our mission is to ensure that every pet feels at home, cared for, and happy during their stay.
  
  I am managing a pet hotel in the peaceful hills of Alanya. Our aim is to provide a warm and caring place for cats and dogs while their owners are away, and to offer Workawayers a welcoming and comfortable environment where they can be part of daily life here.
  
  Although it is a hotel, the atmosphere is personal and community-oriented. I run the project hands-on every day and enjoy working with people who love animals and are interested in learning about pet care and the daily routines in a real boarding facility.
  
  Workawayers stay in the apartment directly above my living area, so we are close while everyone still has their privacy and own space. During the week we share breakfast and an early dinner together, which gives us time to talk, exchange cultures, and enjoy a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
  
  Even though this is a hotel, it works more like a small team or community where we care for the animals together and support each other. I welcome Workawayers who bring positive energy, enjoy cultural exchange, and love spending time with animals in a calm and natural environment.
  
  We currently have one locally paid staff member, who works Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and lovingly takes care of our cats.
  
  I personally look after the dogs and manage the day-to-day running of our hotel. Workaway volunteers are not here to replace any paid local staff, but to be part of a cultural exchange while supporting me with light, everyday tasks related to the animals - such as helping with feeding routines, keeping shared spaces clean, and spending time with the animals.
  From time to time, volunteers may also be asked to be present at the hotel if I need to be away briefly (for example for one or two days). During these moments, volunteers will never be left alone with full responsibility and will always receive clear guidance and support.
  All important decisions, medical care, and longterm responsibilities are always handed by myself or by trusted local professionals.

  This stay offers a rich opportunity for cultural exchange and learning. Workawayers will experience daily life in Turkey firsthand, living in a local neighborhood and interacting with our small community. You will have the chance to learn about Turkish culture, traditions, and lifestyle through shared meals, conversations, and everyday activities.
  
  In addition to cultural exchange, you will gain practical knowledge and hands-on experience in animal care. This includes learning about the behavior, needs, and wellbeing of cats and dogs, as well as basic grooming, feeding routines, and enrichment activities. Workawayers can also learn how a small pet hotel operates, including organization, teamwork, and creating a calm and caring environment for animals.
  
  Overall, this experience combines cultural immersion with practical learning, allowing you to develop new skills, understand a different way of life, and enjoy meaningful interactions with both people and animals.

  We are looking for kind, reliable Workawayers who love animals and enjoy being around them in a calm and caring environment.
  
  Your main help will be in supporting the daily care of the dogs, under my guidance. This includes helping with feeding routines, providing fresh water, keeping shared animal areas clean and tidy, and spending time with the dogs by giving them attention and company.
  
  No professional experience is required. We simply ask that you are responsible, patient, and gentle with animals. Your support helps us maintain a calm, safe, and loving environment for all our guests.
  
  From time to time, Workawayers may also be asked to be present at the hotel if I need to be away briefly (for example for one or two days). During these times, volunteers may also assist with simple tasks related to the cats, such as refilling water bowls. The main responsibility for the cats always remains with our locally paid staff member. Volunteers are not expected to take on full responsibility and will always receive clear instructions and support.
  
  In addition to helping, you will have the opportunity to learn about animal behaviour, basic care routines, and how a pet hotel operates on a day-to-day basis.
  
  Workawayers usually help around 4–5 hours per day, with two days off per week, leaving plenty of free time to explore Alanya and enjoy the local culture and nature.

  Hébergement

  Workawayers stay in a private apartment located directly above the main hotel area. The apartment has its own kitchen and bathroom, as well as a comfortable living and sleeping area, giving you full independence during your stay. You can cook your own meals, relax, and have privacy when you are not helping with the animals.
  
  Although you have your own space, you are still close to the team and animals, which makes it easy to participate in daily routines and shared meals. This setup provides a good balance between independence and community living, giving you a comfortable and practical place to stay while contributing to the care of the cats and dogs.

  During your free time, there is plenty to explore and enjoy in Alanya and the surrounding area. The hotel is located in the peaceful hills of Tepe Mahallesi, offering beautiful views over the city and coastline. Helpers can relax, take walks, or enjoy the natural surroundings right near the hotel.
  
  Alanya itself is famous for its beaches, warm climate, and vibrant atmosphere. Popular sights include Alanya Castle, the Red Tower, the old town streets, local markets, parks, and cafés. Outdoor activities such as swimming, hiking, boat trips, and coastal walks are easily accessible, and there are many opportunities to discover the local culture and cuisine.
  
  Public transport is convenient: regular buses connect the hills to the city center, taxis are readily available. This makes it easy to explore Alanya independently and enjoy both the natural and cultural attractions.
  
  In addition to sightseeing, Workawayers can also spend their free time socializing with us, practicing Turkish, or simply relaxing in the apartment above the hotel. The combination of animal care, cultural exchange, and leisure activities ensures a balanced and enriching experience for all who stay with us.
