    Description

Hello, I am Mahindra, I am from Nepal Bhaktapur,
I start my career as a cook helper in Nagarkot. And slowly I start to learn cooking and in a few years, I become a Constantinople chef. After becoming a chef, I decided to go to India for a better opportunity and went to Himachal North of India as many from Nepal work there. In beginning, I have to start aging as a helper at a friend’s restaurant and I learned cooking in Nepal which help me soon, I become a chef because of my hard work. But the working season in north India in Manali where it was working is on in summer in Winter less of tourists come to visit, So I decided to visit South India In Goa.
And from there I started my first job as a chef and start my journey in India which of North & South, Up & Down. In summer I work in North India from Manali to Ladakh & In Winter south India Goa to Kerala, the same keeps going for years and years. I use to visit Nepal after finishing the winter season in south India and then back to work in north India.
In the year 2012 when I was visiting my home in Nepal, I got an idea if I start a guest house in my village and run it will it work or not? I suggested that to some of my friends and they said why not.
So I start thinking of that and in 2013 when I was working in Goa in the winter season I start planning to build a guest house at that time I was short of investment so I thought to share the idea with some of my friends and I told the same to my friend from India whom I met in Goa he also decided to join at the same time I met a friend called Martin who is from Sweden and luckily he likes our idea and suggested us to make it a community village rather than just a guest house which I like more.
So after finishing my work in march we all decided to visit our village and start working for the community village. And in April we all arrive at my village at my house in Bhaktapur.
And decided to start in the beginning Martin help us with funds to start the work and me and start the work. In the starting, we decided to start from my own home which has a big space for farming, and a Nepal vintage house where my family was living.
After a few years, we decided to grow ourselves and took another property in the village for growing our community and now we have 2 different places with big land for farming and we are in talks with a few more so we make 4 different places in the village to make it a community village. With a lot of different activities in it for all the travelers who visit Nepal some day in life.
In our community, we do a lot of things the first and most important is organic farming & then Yoga, Sound healing, meditation, cooking, art workshop, language learning, culture exchange & many more as getting suggestions.
Our community working policies are simple we provide guest house & traveling services and by that, we grow funds to keep running our project, Guest House & Travel services are provided by an organisation which is operated by one of our founder members and the services are provided in India too so if any of our members are visiting India can get help from it.
And as now we are a community with different places in the village so we have a bit of more work than before so now we are welcoming volunteers to help us and they can.
Physically, mentally, and financially however they are capable.
We have changelings which we want to face with the help of all of you travelers by getting suggestions & guidance.
So, help us to join the great community in Bhaktapur Nepal, and explore it together.
    Thanks
    Mahindra
