Description
We are a Swiss-German couple, both 47, with a wealth of diverse skills and stories from nearly 10 years sailing the Caribbean's waters. Now rooted on a 6-acre jungle farm in Dominica, we're building up a little guesthouse and just started an artisanal chocolate production from cacao tree to bar.
Young at heart with creative minds, we thrive on rock to reggae music, sustainable living from fruits in the garden to cold smoking fish to making chocolate and pralines and hopefully soon sharing stories around the firepit that we want to build together. Our backgrounds blend adventure, farming, sailing and hands-on crafts—we love welcoming like-minded souls to join the rhythm of farm life and share knowledge and experiences.
Expect warm hospitality, lively chats, and collaborative energy as we renovate and grow together.

Echange culturel et opportunités d'apprendre
At our farm nestled in the valey of the jungle by a peaceful river, volunteers will experience cultural exchange blending Swiss-German roots with Caribbean island life. We enjoy sharing meals and music, creating a calm and relaxed space for stories and friendship. Local market trips and occasional community events introduce volunteers to Dominican culture and neighbors. For hiking enthusiasts, the Waitikubuli Trail is just up the hill.
Volunteers can learn practical skills like sustainable cacao farming, chocolate making from tree to bar, animal care (rabbits, chickens), and garden development using tropical techniques. In return, we eagerly embrace new perspectives, languages, and traditions that guests bring, enhancing our understanding of the world and inspiring fresh ideas for our farm and guesthouse.
Hosting people from diverse backgrounds enriches our lives, deepens community connections, and fosters lifelong friendships beyond the farm gates. This active cultural exchange nourishes creativity and mutual respect, making every stay a meaningful experience for all.

Autres infos...
Volunteers should be physically fit and comfortable with outdoor work, as part of the farm is situated on a steep hill with natural uneven terrain. Frequent rains can make paths slippery and muddy, so good footwear and caution are essential. Due to safety considerations and the nature of the work, we are unable to accommodate children or young minors.
