Description
Hey people!
My place is called Kodad, which is around 180 km from Hyderabad, in the southern part of India. We have a kindergarten, primary school, and middle and high school in my hometown. We currently have 95 beautiful kids in our kindergarten and 180 kids in the middle and high school. Each teacher also engages in different arts that they are interested in, like dance, drawing, etc.
You can explore the countryside of India from my place and experience the different cultures and traditions of this region.
It’s also a great place to enjoy a wide variety of tasty and spicy food (South Indian cuisine). The flavours are so unique! We also offer non-spicy food, so please feel free to ask if needed.
We are also starting a farm soon to integrate nature-based education and farming into our education.
I believe in permaculture, care for the Earth and care for people. We live like a community with our teachers. There is enough space for you to join us 😉.

I spent two years in Germany and have travelled for some time, so I really like the idea of staying with a local host to understand the place better.

I believe diversity is the key to the sustainability of any place. We have teachers from Odisha, Manipur, and other regions. You can get a lot of exposure to our cultures and traditions. We will consider you like a family member during your stay and also give you privacy wherever required.
This region is especially famous for its paddy fields and mango farms, so there is a lot of greenery around!
I am hoping to learn about different cultures and their teaching methods for kids, as well as about arts and agriculture! -

Aide
No experience at all with teaching is perfectly fine for us. If you are interested in teaching and spending time with children, you are most welcome.
We require help with the kitchen garden. We have also built a big school, so there are many tasks to do, such as building mechanical and carpentry workshops and designing our craft and music rooms. Most of all, we value spending time with the kids (from kindergarten to Grade 9) and learning along with them.
You can help with farming, gardening, animal care, nutrition for children, or teaching arts such as music, dance, painting, storytelling, theatre, spoken English, etc., depending on your interests. We can try to find work for you based on your skills and interests.
Commitment to the work is a must!

You can enjoy the local festivals and celebrations at the school. You can also visit folk festivals that happen seasonally.
