This was the kind of place where I arrived and I knew that it will be a wonderful time... And I had a wonderful time!! Two weeks were way too short to enjoy the beautiful garden (and weed all its herbs ;)) and to discover the beautiful calm countryside and its cute villages and small towns. I was soo happy that you lent me a bicycle, so I could go

If you enjoy the calm, if you love cycling, if you like to stay with very kind people, if you are motivated and able to work on your own, come here and just have a wonderful time!
Marcel and Rowita are very kind people who were always patient with me while I was trying to learn some more Dutch. Doria and Arthur are lovely and creative kids, who can be a little crazy sometimes as well. Marcel is a great cook but Rowita as well, even if she won't believe it sometimes!! ;) You always told me that you're a little perfectionist, but for me, this place is already pretty perfect. And I hope that you can see this too! :)
Thank you for this experience, thank you for everything!!
I wish you all the best!

Flora was wonderful to host in our family. She was very social, active and spontaneous. The communication went very well and everything went very smooth. It really felt like we worked together on everything that had to be done. A lot of respect for the fact that Flora speaks Dutch, as it is not the easiest language to learn! She's always welcome

Anthony visited us for 2 days, instead of the 12 we spoke about before. He communicated very well that he'd arrive a day later than planned so that was no problem. Anthony started with very hard work on the first day, but also told he felt sick because of the heat (25 degrees). He made a very fragile impression to us and it also seemed he didn't

I stayed with Rowita and Marcel and their children for just over three weeks, and I have never felt more integrated into another family outside my own in my life. From weeding the greenhouse, harvesting for meals from the vegetable garden, and reinvigorating the compost system, to lending a helping hand with meal cleanup, turning the B&B around,

Rowita and Marcel, I hope your winter is restful and easy-going, and may your freezers be full! All the best!Vous pouvez seulement contacter les workawayers avec une adhésion active.

Camila's stayed with us for 3 months. Her stay with us is something we will never forget and has given us everlasting memories.
From day one, Camila was proactive and supportive. It was easy to agree with each other on the weekly tasks. During the months, we quickly grew together as friends. We really ran the household together. Very naturally she

She's been very important for our children too. Especially our daughter struggled at the start with somebody around speaking another language. She didn't make it easy for Camila to connect with her. But with Camila's constant positivity she was able to get our daughter over her problems and at the end of the stay she constantly wanted to be her. She even started to speak English to Camila.
Again, we will never forget this experience. Camila is always more than welcome with us. Hopefully we see each other again in the future. Maybe in Chile!

It was my first Workaway and if they are all like this, I want to do many more!
They are a beautiful family, inspiring, with values and where communication is the main thing, they always made me feel at home. I came to stay for a month and ended up staying for three.
I learned a lot from them and their planet conscious way of living. The place

The food is really delicious, Marcel is practically a chef, every day he surprises with a new recipe and Rowita makes the most delicious jams and pancakes. Almost everything they eat is harvested from their garden and that makes it even more delicious.
The kids, Arthur and Doria are crazy adorable, although it was a challenge for me because of the language, I enjoyed their company, every day they surprised me with their witticisms, they always want to help, they are intelligent, creative and sensitive.
The sleeping space is really comfortable and beautiful, I had my privacy and they always made sure I didn't miss anything.
The volunteering is very varied and that is also great (harvesting, cutting the grass, pruning bushes, gardening, planting, construction, painting the house, cleaning, laundry, taking care of the children, etc.).
In my second month I had to study online in the afternoons, they were very respectful of my time, they even brought food to my room, I will always be grateful for that.
I had a bike to go to the station on weekends (the road is really nice and quiet) and I was able to see a lot of this beautiful country.
It is very difficult to summarize how great this experience was but if you have the chance to do it, I recommend this family 100%.
They are the kind of people that any traveler would want to meet :)
Thanks for everything to my Dutch family for 3 months.
I will miss them 🩷.Learn to build community homes in a historical farm and connect with nature in Maasbree, Netherlands
