Description
Hello!
a new restoration project. we will rebuild an old house in the woods. no specific skills are required
We are a family of four - Luigi and Maja plus our children Arianna (25) and Riccardo (23), and our dog Kara (Alaskan Malamute) - and we are based in the beautiful landscape of Le Marche, a splendid, rural and often underrated region in the central-eastern part of Italy. We live in the countryside of a small village called Mogliano, (5'000 inhabitants, in the province of Macerata), which sits on the sunflower-covered hills, exactly half an hour away from the seaside and 45 mins away from the mountains; a very beautiful and peaceful place to be, especially during summertime.
We are a family of avid travellers and very open-minded people, with a rich multi-cultural background. Our occupation consists in taking care and menaging the holiday houses and villas of our clients (mostly british and swedish people), which are weekly rented to tourists, therefore we are in continuous contact with people from all over Europe and even all over the world (we've had guests fro the U.S., Canada, Australia, Israel, etc...).
We are looking for open-minded people who like to explore and discover new cultures and lifestyles, who are not afraid of hard work and are also willing to share an experience with us.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

If you are looking for the true and genuine italian experience, plus a little bit more, this is a perfect opportunity! You will find yourself in the middle of the italian countryside, experiencing the life of a small village. But most importantly, you will live with a local family, be part of our routine and enjoy the peaceful nature of the countryside. You could visit the nearby villages and cities, get to know both locals and tourists, go hike in the nauture, sunbathe at the beach, visit or take part to the many summer festivals, try out our typical food, etc..

Aide
We require help mostly during weekends, when new guests come. We need someone to clean the houses we manage with us, take care of the garden, and maybe help with tourists. This type of work is generally required on Saturday and on Sunday, maybe sometimes Thursday or Friday.
In the rest of the week, we would like you to help in the house when needed, maybe help with the laundry or with the shopping, sometimes cut the grass or some other little things if necessary, but basically the rest of the week is for you to do whatever you want.Langues

We live in a big, restored, rural house with a big garden and swimming pool, on top of a hill, surrounded by sunflowers, in the countryside, a couple km away from the village. The helpers will be staying in our dependance, which up until to 2 years ago we used to rent off to tourists ourselves. The dependance is a small house with 2 bedrooms, a kitchen and a bathroom, which is at your complete availability.
Of course, during the day you can also be inside the big house with us, and you can roam the garden and use the swimming pool as you like.
Help in the kitchen is welcome, and we would like you to sit at our table during meal times, but you are free to provide for food for yourself if you prefer.Autres infos...
As previously mentioned, our house is in the countryside, something like 3 km away from the village. There are daily buses from the village centre to Macerata (the nearest town) and to the sea-side.
With your time off, you could do things such as hike or ride a bike in the nearby hills and use the swimming pool.
If you speak or know some Italian, it would be easier for you to get around, as not so many people know English.
IMPORTANT: we have a big dog, Kara, which is a 10-year-old Alaskan Malamute. She is not aggressive or dangerous at all, she extremely loves people and children, even if they are strangers. She likes hikes and taking baths in her personal pool, but most importantly, she likes company and being around people. So if you are not confortable around big dogs, please don't apply.Informations complémentaires

She was always respectful and kind to us. Though she was quite busy with her duties as mom, wife and entrepreneur, she managed to find time to cook for all the family and her workawayers and enjoy the lunch together. Also, she helped to improve our Italian a little. All… read more
