It was an absolute joy to receive Ilaria here for around 2 months. She is one of those special people that are always in a good mood and bring a constant positive energy around them. She is calm but also warm, very proactive, reliable, punctual, intelligent, and great fun! In short everything you could wish for in a Workawayer.
She loved to play
… read more with and care for all the children, and quickly formed a connection with all three. She joined the family activities on many occasions but also ventured out on her own, resulting in a healthy balance that felt right for us all.
We already miss here but fontunately she is staying in the Netherlands for a while longer. Since her stay we have become good friends and she is welcome anytime:)

You have your weekly schedule with household tasks and childcare, but in your free time you’re totally free to explore Dutch life however suits you best. And they’re always happy to give tips or help out when you need it!
Amadora is full of energy. She loves music, make-up, dancing and learning new things. She’s really sweet and caring, and loves to play games and chat. The twins are absolutely adorable. Rowan is a bit shy at first, but really cute once he opens up - just play with him and magic happens :) He loves small details, colors, bugs, flowers. Gwendolyn already speaks great English and loves talking, playing with puzzles and toys. She is super sweet. She is also really careful about her outfits in the morning, just let her choose what she likes the most. They’re both always on the move and super fun to be around.
The household tasks can seem like many at first, but once you get into your own routine, everything becomes easy and part of the day. Cycling is a must, but also a joy: the area is surrounded by nature and really peaceful, just enjoy it!
The family has a really positive vibe. I learned much from them about Dutch culture, practical things, family life… and even how to deal with the sheep in the garden :)
Since I consider them as friends now, it sounds even a bit strange to write a review, but it was a special experience ❤️

We loved having Grace around! Grace stayed with us for 3 months to help out with the children, which wasn't work for her but something that she genuinely enjoyed. She was always in a good mood and willing to help, and was a valued part of our family life. She also managed to build a close bond with our eldest daughter and the twins. Even at her
… read more young age, Grace acted very responsible and was very relaible. We felt our children were always in good hands with her, and was someone we would count on. We would highly recommend to chose Grace as a workawayer, especially in any setting with children she will shine.

Menno and Yvonne have been excellent hosts, I stayed with them from September till December which allowed me the opportunity to experience their fabulous holiday of Sinterklaas at the beginning of December. I felt nothing but welcomed and loved throughout my whole trip, I constantly got asked if I wanted to be apart of there family trips which I

Amadora is a fabulous girl who is nothing but energetic and passionate about everything she does and gives off a contagious positive attitude to everyone around her, we would often spend the evenings together playing games, watching movies or listening to music which quickly turned into one of my favourite memories. Rowan and Gwendolyn are a delight they are both sweet and loving kids. Rowan is a kind boy that is happy to show you his teddies that he takes with him everywhere or simply just cuddle with you in the evenings. Gwendolyn is a sweet girly girl that wants to show you all of her princess dresses and dance with you to frozen songs on repeat but if u don’t do as she demands you will be getting serious looks from her that can be quite scary but you just have to stay strong :)
The Rieff family have been a wonderful first Workaway experience for me. I am very appreciative of everything the parents did for me from giving me my space when I needed it too spending the evening drinking cocktails and sharing stories with each other. I can honestly say they have become a second family to me and I can’t wait to return ;)

I stayed with the Rieff family for 3 months, from the end of May until the end of August.
They are really welcoming and from the first day, Yvonne and Menno made me feel like their home was also mine. They would always check with me if I needed something or if I wanted a change in the schedule.
The children are very different from each other and
… read more during these 3 months I discovered their personality traits. The eldest, Amadora is very energetic, she always needs to move, dance, sing. She needs a lot of attention and she will be really happy if you spend time alone with her, doing drawings or playing games. Rowan is really shy at first, he has to adjust to you being here. But if you play with him, he will be confortable with you in the next days. He is a bit of a princess, really precious and he loves to dress up as Rapunzel or Snow White. Gwendolyn is not shy at all, she adjusts quickly to new people. She uses her cuteness to be manipulative so don't be fooled :) and she also loves pink !

Leilou stayed wih us for 3 months in the period June-Aug 204. She helped us mainly with running the family and watching over the kids, Also she got to prove her painting talents renovating our attic.
We loved having Leilou around. She was hard-working and dependable. She found a good balance between participating in activities with our family and
… read more discovering things on her own. During her time here she got to see a lot of the country and made the most of her time here. She contributed to the good atmosphere in the house and last but not least, she has a very charming french accent :)Feedback

… read more actually enjoyable. The children are just precious ! Amadora is really special with all her passions and energies, I had a lot of fun with her and our dances together and the twins are just unique. They’re both lovely and sweet and at the same time each is so different. Gwendolyn is open as soon as she sees you and rowan is a little bit more shy but he will just crawl into your arms after a few days.

It was an absolute joy to receive Lucrezia here for 3 months. She is cheerful, enthusiastic and up for anything. She knew how to make a great connection with both our 3-year-old twins and our 9-year-old (sometimes stormy but always sweet) daughter. She also helped out in the household. She did the laundry, cleaned up the children's toys and changed the children's beds. She picks things up very quickly, only had to explain everything once and she was very proactive. When she saw that something could be cleaned up, she did it on her own.
