Located just blocks from the Pacific Ocean, we have celebrated 22 years in Sayulita, Nayarit, Mexico. After making Mexico our home for this time with our two rescued street dogs.. two rescue cats and presently 2 baby opossums we are seeking volunteers to help with the critters.
Help with maintenance and construction.

We are always looking for volunteers. Our preference is for an average of one months stay. We accept single workers and couples.
We have hosted many people from all over the world. We are happy to put you in touch with some people as references who can speak to their time at the hostel and in Sayulita if you'd like!
ABOUT THE HOSTEL
It is a beautiful, colorful, open-air house turned tiny hostel. It has a waterfall and plenty of trees. The house has an open air kitchen, hot water, and surf boards for guests. We're the most pet-friendly place to stay in Sayulita! There is one open air kitchen and one large kitchen in the main house. We are a 5 minute walk from the beach and a left surf break. We are just to the north of the bridge and directly in front of the sports field.
ABOUT THE TOWN
Sayulita is a tropical fishing village and surfing mecca just a short drive north of Puerto Vallarta. It has amazing food and drink options that range from street tacos and Corona to artisanal cocktails and lobster. There is truly something for everyone in this once quaint and quiet town that is now sophisticated and very high energy.

Excellent hiking right from our doorstep into the jungle in all directions. Multitude of volunteer opportunities in Sayulita ranging from environmental protection to recycling to working in spay and neuter clinics for street animals, and teaching English as a second language.

We have excellent internet here. Many guests are digital nomads and work or study from the casa. There are also several coffee shops with strong internet as well as multiple co-working spaces if you need.

As soon as she arrived she was helping with all the animals,giving good ideas on baby opposum care and had the dogs and cats wagging their tails and purring when she was with them.
She fulfilled all her other responsibilities in a timely and concise manner.
