Description
Hospitable family welcomes you in Finike, Antalya.
Our house is nearby to the famous Lycian Way and we have a big garden consisting of a variety of fruits, vegetables and olive trees. We produce wine from our Lycian grapes. We built 7 traditional houses: king tomb; hobbit house; stone house; wood house and orange house. We rent them online and meet people from all around the world.
We are a retired married couple who were once teachers in history and science, but now focus solely on our small hotel. We have two older children who both live abroad but sometimes come and stay with us in the summer. We are looking for some help with general maintenance for our hotel.
The area: Finike is an outstanding town on the coast of the Mediterranean sea. It is known for its orange trees, marina and being on the Lycian Way. Our home is in the mountains just behind Finike and enjoys a wonderful view of the area.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

Echange culturel et opportunités d'apprendre
We can exchange Mediterranean, Turkish and Lycian culture. I am a history teacher and have extensive knowledge about Turkey and Finike history, which I am always willing to share. My wife can teach Turkish cuisine, local foraging, how to make wine and Turkish language. We often make boat trips together with our boat and can take you on hiking tours. You can even go kayaking if you want :)

İn general we run a tourist place, which takes the form of an ecological/sustainable hotel. We always need help with gardening, cleaning, making jam and social media marketing. The work varies depending on the season. In summer we need help with cleaning rooms and preparing food for guests while in winter we need help with repair projects and getting the garden ready to plant in spring. In spring we need help with gardening and collecting fruits from the garden to turn into jam. We make a lot of orange jam and provide it to our hotel guests, so we also need help with this process. Finally in autumn the work will mostly be picking fruits such as pomegranates and olives and more gardening.
Because we have a lot of ideas to develop our paradise, we often have building projects on the go, which you may also help with. We welcome new ideas and would love to create awesome projects together! Additionally, we are happy to pay those who are wanting to work more for extra hours.Langues

We offer a seperate room and bathroom for each workawayer. We also have two spacious restaurants (one inside and one outside) that overlook the beautiful Finike, where you are welcome to relax in, although please be mindful of our hotel guests.
We always offer food because we absolutely looooove to eat and do welcome help with preparing and cooking dinner. You are also more than welcome to make your own food if you desire and there is plenty of homemade wine to go around :pAutres infos...
There is a local bus just a 5 minute walk away that can take you to the centre of Finike. It is only 2kms to the seaside for swimming in the summer time and there is a motorbike available for workawayers with a suitable driving licence.
We are not far from the ancient ruins of Limyra, which you can take a bus to on your day off and explore. In town there is a bazaar every Saturday and walking trails in the Finike mountains. Gokbuk Canyon is a natural wonder located 20km to the north of our hotel and is great to visit in the summer. It has a length of 5km and a depth of 300m. There is a walking route you can follow there, plus a walk around and through the canyon, or a bus will take you to the village of Gokbuk where you can explore the canyon from there. Olympos, Demre and Kumluca are nearby if you wanted to visit these places on your days off too.Informations complémentaires
