Deia is very friendly ánd fun. She is easy to talk to and she laughs a lot, which makes it very pleasant to have her in the house. We could communicate good about the work and acitivities. We really enjoyed her company. She did some really nice stuff with the kids, they also loved her. She helped me with organizing all of our childrens clothes in

Marco helped us out a lot with much enthusiasm. He was easy to communicate with when I made a clear plan and discussed it with him, he was happy to follow up. He is a great cook and spoiled us with very tasty Italian meals. He also made a nice breakfast for me and the kids and all of this made our life so much easier. Next to that he helped us to
… read more upgrade our house with painting some walls and the ceiling, taking of wallpaper first. With a clear schedule I think it's really nice to work with Marco :) He has the drive and intrinsic motivation to work and to socialize. My kids really enjoyed him and we played some basketball together, which the kids also loved. He is also good with paint markers and colouring books, which was also an ideal activity to do with kids. Marco even helped my father around the house and my brother with some construction work at his new house. In the end, we were all happy to have him as our guest, to socialize and to do the workaway exchange with him! I wish him the best in his coming journey.

Marjan is super accommodating and leaves you with very clear notes on what she'd like for you to do throughout the day.
Her kids can be a handful, but are becoming more disciplined by the day. It's hard for them with their father gone so its a matter of stepping in with clear boundaries and expectations that they will come to respect. In

Luciano loves spending 1:1 time with you, and in general the kids love to cook and play with you outside.
I had a room in the attic which was nice because the laundry machine is right there, and the kids don't come in much.

I just realized I completely forgot to write a feedback for this lovely experience. I stayed a week with Marjan and the kids and really enjoyed that time. When I think back of Helen staying with us my heart gets very warm. That's because she is a very warm human being. She helped us out very good and was so nice, gentle and kind to our children also. … read more beginning she was a bit homesick, but we talked about it good and we gave her the space to adjust and to feel what she wanted to do and in the end it worked out very well! She made beautiful flower arrangements in our house, which was such a work of art that we enjoyed a lot a lot! She is overall a great guest to have and to talk to. She also came with us to the lake and is an independent, kind and social human being :) We thank her for all the help she gave us!

Romeo, Luciano and Gaia Amora are wonderful children they are full of joie de vivre, respect and gratitude. I really enjoyed the time with the three children, they have grown on me. unbelievable how creative and talented they are each in their own way ♥️ I was always allowed to participate in the everyday life of the family and Marjan always asked me if I wanted to go with them when they went out. This was my very first Workaway experience and I couldn't be happier! Marjan, Virchelo and their kids are such a lovely family! I stayed with them only for 4 days, but even this short time was so nice and I felt welcome since day 1. :)

Marjam and Virchelo received me in a very open and friendly manner. … read more the fact that I was not only working, but really involved in family life and routine. I was there for Romeo's birthday where I met some of his lovely friends, went for walks and little trips to different lakes together etc...
The children are adorable, very active, respectful and kind at the same time, Luciano is calmer but very adventurous, he likes to exercise; Romeo is charming, he really likes to play with his blocks and Legos (in company), probably if you ask him if they can play together he will accept, it is a good way for them to gain more confidence in you and Gaia is a very sweet, funny baby and when become more confident.

Amélie was such a gift to have in our house. She is very independent and works very good. I love her bright energy, happiness and enthusiasm. She could play immediately really good with the children from day one, as she is a natural with kids. She has sincere interest in them and can level with them very good. But with Amélie they hit it off immediately, and this was mainly due to her great natural efforts, enthusiasm, and sincere interest in the children. Next to that, she was a pleasure to have in our house and she helped us a lot with very good cleaning.
She was also really cool company to take with us to a festival where we had to work and enjoy ourselves. She took the kids there also on little getaways and we danced all together to great music.
We are very grateful to have this experience with Amélie and we really hope to meet her again some day, maybe when we visit her in France! Her enthusiasm and positivity will make her a great guest in your house or project.

I took care of Luciano, Romeo and Gaia-Amora. They were very nice but sometimes you have to say « no » and they were very dynamic (normal they are kids), so you have to be full of energy if you want to play with them ! I really enjoyed my time with them ! We were drawing, playing Nerf, Ninja, Lego, football and more ! (As she is younger Gaia went often to her mother’s room, so most of the time I’ve played with Romeo and Luciano.) It was really good and reassuring that Marjan worked in the house, so if there is a problem I could warn and talk to her.
I also helped with the cleaning, now it’s shinning ; ) !
I spent ten days in the house, I had my own chamber, so I had privacity. I had time to go to Eindhoven (the train station is at 2 minutes by feet and Eindhoven at 10 minutes by train, so very easy and practical !) There is a lot of good museum to do in Eindhoven (Historical museum, Philips museum and more !) It is also very nice !
I went to Helmond with the bicycle that Marjan lent me (thanks a lot !) : there, I visited the castle and I walked in the nice city. I really had a good time in my free time.
Thanks at all the family ! The kids were very nice and so cute ! Marjan and Virchelo you are very nice and cool ! I had incredible memories ! Specially in the Festival ! It made me feel happy and in a really good vibe ! It was funny to bearing Romeo in my shoulders at the festival, he wanted me to run and jump : ) It was funny !

Ewa was a treat to our family and we learned a lot from her. I really enjoyed reflecting with her upon emotional development of children and how to guide them. … read more communicate with kind of person. She is hands-on and can work really well. She takes her work seriously and it shows that she does her best. This is also shown by how she takes the time to reflect upon her work and challenges and how she tried to solve them. She was capable to do that so well, that it opened my eyes more deeply about certain challanges with our children, and consequently I learned a lot. It also gave me a great trustworthy feeling, knowing that she takes my children's needs seriously and so it felt save to hand them over to her.
She has a lot of motivation, experience and knowledge, especially for her age. So it's obvious she knows her stuff and therefore, you can talk about various topics with her.
We also really enjoyed the Polish food she made and made it again here at home, a big hit! It was a really, really nice experience to have this exchange with Ewa.

My children (who are not listening to just anyone) were capable to follow her guidence and instruction and were able to admit to her leading role (also not very common for my kids).
Personally I really enjoyed Ruby's personality in various ways as well. She's open minded to talk about things and to exchange knowledge. She's eager to learn, she is positively minded and likes to explore. Talking about South-Africa was very interesting and now we all want to go there and visit her there one day :):)

I just spend three weeks with the family, but the time was live changing. I learned so much from Marian and Virchelo. They really treated me like a member of their family.
With Marian I could just talk about everything. We had such deap conversations and she really taught me a lot about myself, childcare and so many other things. And also she
… read more included me in her daily struggles and really helped me out when I struggled. We could just discuss everything and reflect on the day. She also was very greatful, when I did something so I felt very valued.
With Virchelo I could just spend a really cool time. He's very kind and always helps everyone. He also is a big music lover which I really enjoyed. With him I could just vibe. And he taught me how to drum which is soo amazing.
Yeah, I think if you're a music lover this family is just amazing and if you are not then you will learn to love music after you spend a few days with them.
And both of them are incredible cooks. They just make the best meals.
I also loved to spend time with the kids. Romeo and Luciano are so playful, energetic and kind of really cool wild kids. They enjoy spending time outside and love music, Monstertrucks and dinosaurs. It's so much fun to just go crazy with them or spend time learning new things...
And then there is Gaia-Amora. I think she's kind of a very happy Baby. She's mostly really calm and smiles a lot. It's really grounding to spend time with her.
Oh yes, I should not forget the cats. Snowy and Max are so calm and cuddly. In the morning and in the evening they would just come and cuddle and during the day they would follow the family if they were in the neighborhood.

Wiebke was a sunshine energy in our house. Her eyes full of light made me happy and positive to be around her. Wiebke had a good influence on us as parents and on the kids. For example with her philosophical interests. We talked deeply about some topics. Furthermore, because she likes to read, she stimulated us to enjoy reading more just by being happily present with her books.
It felt to us as if we had a nice balance going on among all of us. She participated with us when she liked, but also took time for herself. The workexchange worked out well, we could talk easily about what we would like her to do for us.
We feel grateful for the overall exchange we had with her. We enjoyed her vibrant presence, her knowledge, her playfulness with the kids, and her great cleaning.. Next to that, I feel also grateful for her great patience with life and the kids in general.

… read more they shared with me (their music, the meals, yoga routines etc.). They have a very loving, warm and gentle way of parenting and living in general. The communication about my tasks and free time was good and uncomplicated, I went to visit some dutch cities by train on the weekends (Eindhoven, Utrecht, Den Haag, Masstricht), which I can highly recommend.
