Aaron was a super relaxed guy, it seems like he got life all figured out. He set himself up with a super relaxed and adventurous lifestyle where he can do unlimited fun things, and I'm very jealous of that, and was very glad to get an insight in it.
During our stay we slept in a huge RV that was bigger than our Amsterdam apartment, and this was defenitely a once in a lifetime experience for us.

Aaron's house in Joshua Tree was my first experience of workaway and I was totally spoiled! I had the most incredible time here, Aaron is the kindest guy with so many interesting stories to tell. He is so welcoming and laid back, the RV we stayed in was super comfortable and spacious and he made sure we were comfortable and warm enough in there.

I had wanted to go to slab city when planning my trip but decided it was too far and I didn't have enough time, then one day Aaron said we were going! And I had my birthday there and he wanted to make it a memorable day so we hiked a volcano. Such a special time and I will never forget it. I am extremely thankful for Aaron's hospitality, generosity, flexibility, light-hearted nature, all the great moments we shared, all the great hikes we went on especially when we got caught in the snow storm!, his calm and patient nature, and for having a desert sanctuary right when I needed it. Jessica came and stayed at my Joshua Tree house for a while in the Spring. She was a great Workawayer. Not only did she find cool stuff to do around town that I didn't know about but she took great care of my kitty while I was traveling. My time with Aaron was my best Workaway experience yet! He's a fun, chill guy with very interesting life stories! He's also very inclusive and will invite you to go out to meet friends, see life music, go to restaurants, etc. The work he provided were very simple and easy tasks. He might have a couple other random projects, for example I painted some of the walls in his house and also took pictures of things for him to sell on eBay. Plenty of free time will be provided as well to explore the city. The house is right next to a bus stop that will take you right downtown. He also lives directly across from Greenlake which is a beautiful lake that is great to go walking or jogging around. I had two amazing weeks with Aaron and Samantha. He took us to all his favorite spots in Seattle and to Port Townsend. The atmosphere was always relaxed and I felt very welcome, so I can just recommend this host although he won't be in Seattle much longer.

… read more experience I have had in 6 years of travel with workaway. The house is always clean and full of life, people from all over the world, music and great food. I met so many people and learned so many new things that I could write for days! Aaron is always very kind and relaxed that makes you feel immediately at home. He took me to drink in his favorite place and we went out for a trip out of town. I helped keep the house clean, I took care of Samantha, worked in the garden, cooked, organized the movies (!!!), built the floor in the secret room ... all jobs that I did with pleasure.
