Description
My name is Jorge and I was born in the Federal District. My parents are immigrants to the City from the states of Michoacán and Jalisco. I spent a lot of time in towns getting to know the nature and towns of Mexico. I studied architecture and worked for a few years until I realized that working conditions in Mexico are very precarious. I started this project in 2020 and the idea is to adapt a house to make it as ecological as possible, in the same way I have land where I am building an organic farm and planting an edible forest, mainly with recycled materials and trees from the region.

Mi nombre es Jorge y nací en el Distrito Federal. Mis padres son inmigrantes de la Ciudad provenientes de los estados Michoacán y Jalisco. Pasé mucho tiempo en pueblos conociendo la naturaleza y pueblos de México. Estudié arquitectura y trabajé por unos años hasta que me di cuenta que las condiciones laborales en México son muy precarias. Empecé este proyecto en 2020 y la idea es adaptar una casa para hacerla lo más ecológica posible, de igual forma cuento con un terreno en donde estoy construyendo una granja orgánica y plantando un bosque comestible, principalmente con materiales reciclados y arboles de la región.

Being part of a community of locals and people from other neighboring states, I have friends who like to host people here (they are vegan so there might be a vegan option staying with them)
Experience in building and design, good stories, info about the country, and good Mexican food (mostly not vegetarian).
Aide
There are seasonal tasks but also depend on the projects that are currently being developed
- I have bees, so you have to extract honey, divide swarms or recover them (September-May)
- I currently produce mushrooms (pleurots ostreatus) seasonally (from trees July-November / in straw all year)
- Gardening and work field in general (all year)
- Construction and bioconstruction projects as well as maintenance (November-June)
- Direct harvest in the field (almost all year)

Las tareas dependen de la temporada.
- Cuento con abejas, por lo que hay que extraer miel, dividir enjambres o recuperarlos (septiembre-mayo)
- Actulamente produzco hongos setas (pleurots ostreatus) por temporadas (de arboles julio-novimbre/ en paja todo el año)
- Jardineria y trabajo de campo en general (todo el año)
- Proyectos de construccion y bioconstruccion así como de mantenimiento (novimbre-junio)
- Cosecha directa en el campo (casi todo el año)

I live in a house that my parents built 20 years ago. It is big but I only have 2 independent rooms that are available. The kitchen and bathrooms are shared. The house has some details that must be taken into account to function efficiently.
My diet is about 70-80% vegetarian, mostly I cook with meat or meat products.
