  Description

  We live in a beautiful coastal rainforest in British Columbia, Canada and love to share our piece of wilderness paradise. A couple with a love of travel and the outdoors (and dogs!). Our home backs onto a nature reserve with seemingly endless trails off the property forest for you to explore, as well Bowen has over 30 public beaches across the island. We are looking for help keeping up with the daily household things (cleaning, dogs, whatever seasonal projects we have on the go) and the ongoing work of keeping up with land maintenance. Let us know if you'd like to come join us for a work-a-way stay!

  We speak English and German (and would love to learn and speak more Spanish!), our home is set amidst nature with vast opportunity to learn and explore the Canadian outdoors. We cook a lot, so if you'd like to we can cook together!

  Aide

  With all the baeautiful trees comes a lot of work! We can always use help with outdoor property/garden things (pruning and cutting in Sprong, property clean up, firewood prep in winter etc.) as well as general household upkeep projects (painting, carpentry, cleaning etc.). We are setting up some growing areas, planning out the gardens and building out trails around etc. If you have a love or skill you'd like to share or something you'd like to learn, please let us know!

  Bedroom with a queen bed and bathroom down the hall (we sleep on the same level), camper trailer in the lower property, or tent in the forest if you'd like - your choice!

  We are flexible for times, so happy to chat over varying lengths of stays and work hours so that you can get to explore Bowen. We have a couple paddle boards and might get some bicycles, just ask and we can try to help you to have some fun on your solo time :)

  Yes - Internet is fast, but cell is spotty in some spots depending on service provider. Best to use wifi calling/WhatsApp

  Yes! We also have a 16' camper ourselves and are able to offer space. Check with us for rig size and set up and we can see what we can do!

  Please ask, depending on your pet we can try to make it work and accommodate. We have 2 small Cavapoos and love dogs, if yours is sociable with other animals and ok in open areas with wildlife, we are happy to see if it can work.
