  Description

  Hello! We are Jannes and Annoeska, living in our own 'Lowlands Paradise'. Our small village of Lageland is close to the lively city of Groningen.
  We have a big garden and enjoy working outdoors on all kinds of projects. Help is welcome with garden tasks, the vegetable garden, small DIY tasks (like building a fence), caring for our chickens 🐔, and occasional painting or repairs.
  Alongside these projects, we both have full time jobs, so extra hands are greatly appreciated. We value a relaxed, friendly atmosphere with time to work together, share meals, and enjoy the surroundings.
  If you love nature, hands‑on work, and village life near a city, you’ll feel right at home here!

  We will learn you the Dutch habits, foods and hospitality. We are living in the countryside but you can also get to know the pleasant city of Groningen. It is a city with a cosy and lovely center, there live many (international) students and it has a lot of places where to eat and drink. We have bikes available.

  Aide

  We are looking for people who enjoy helping outside, who can and like to work with their hands and are not afraid to roll up their sleeves. Specific knowledge is not necessary, but knowledge about gardening would be handy, but most of all we would like to have people around who respect our property and animals.

  Hébergement

  In exchange for your help, we are happy to offer you a very nice separate accomodation which is located in the garden.
  It is suitable for two people and fully furnished. So you have your own bedroom. There also is a bathroom with shower, toilet and a washing machine, a kitchenette with refrigerator and hob and also a large covered terrace. The bedroom is your privat space, sometimes we will use the washing machine or the terrace and the fridge. For instance while eating together or when we have friends visiting.
  
  So you will have a luxurious domain and so you don't have to sleep in our house. Maybe you can eat with us a few days a week, the other days we can ask you to prepare your own food.

  Autres infos...

  So we have chickens and we have 2 cats. We have also two bicycles available, You can cycle very nice around the area and you can be in the heart of the city of Groningen in about 40 minutes. We are flexible, therefore much is possible in consultation. We attach great importance to a personal click and to the fact that our belongings are handled with care.

  Mes animaux

  Onze kippetjes

  We hebben twee hokken met kippen, het is een mengsel van kippen met een kuifje en Wyandottes. Ze zijn heel gezellig, vooral als er weer eens eieren zijn uitgebroed is het een lekkere chaos.

  Poekie

  Poekie houdt niet van drukte en trekt zich vaak terug. Ze heeft nog maar een halve staart, de andere helft is eraf gevallen nadat ze ergens achter is blijven haken. Ze is heel lief, als je geluk hebt gaat ze je vertrouwen en krijg je een kopje van haar.

  Paco

  Paco is een enorm gezelligheidsdier en zal zich vaak bij je melden. Hij krijgt graag héél veel aandacht.
