Dear Travelers,
Thank you very much for deciding to visit Sri Lanka and for showing an interest in supporting our project.
We are a villa nestled in the woods in a non-touristic village between Colombo and Kandy in Sri Lanka. We offer a unique mix of villa and homestay experiences for our guests. Our property is a two-story home, with the upstairs area currently rented to international travelers. This space includes three bedrooms, a small pantry, a balcony, a shared bathroom, and a common area.
Workawayers may stay in one of the available rooms, depending on occupancy, and will have access to the pantry.
Most of the time, you will have the entire upstairs area to yourselves.
We kindly request Workawayers to prepare their own meals using the pantry facilities.
You will be treated to Ceylon tea a few times a day :)
Further, we have recently begun restoring an old colonial villa next to our house.
Workawayers can support us by DIY projects, sharing creative ideas, helping with planning and design-related activities, documenting the progress of the project, and contributing to landscaping and garden development around the villa.
Volunteers can also assist with creative projects around the property and help bring fresh perspectives to our ideas.
It would be helpful if you have experience in architecture, design, farming, landscaping, gardening, painting, photography, or other creative fields.
Alongside these activities, we may occasionally need your help during guest stays by welcoming guests, sharing local knowledge, and providing general assistance when required. Outside of these responsibilities, you will have flexible working hours and plenty of free time to explore the village.
We're looking for volunteers who can stay with us and become part of our family, probably the 3rd child of mom and dad.
Due to limited monthly data bundles, we encourage volunteers to utilize their mobile data. However, we do provide access to our Wi-Fi as needed.

During your stay at our village you will experience authentic non touristy village life. All the village people are respectful and innocent towards visitors. Most of my international friends who have stayed at my village in the past have been invited to enjoy food, fruits and local tea with our neighbours. Near by you are able to visit one of the main rivers, the longest hanging bridge in Sri Lanka, waterfalls and temples. Also within 1.5 hours travel you can visit an elephant orphanage, white water rafting and tea estates.
After the project is complete as a big thank you for your help we will be happy to offer you and your family members free stay at the guest house any time you wish to return to Sri Lanka during your lifetime.

I want to convert our upstairs and garden into an eco friendly guesthouse / hostel . The special aim is to renovate the house and land natural landscape.

Hébergement
My parents will be happy to host you at our family home, which is the same property we are currently developing into a guesthouse and youth hostel.
You will have access to a separate unit with two bedrooms, a living room, a pantry, a bathroom, and a storage room.
We encourage guests to prepare their own meals using the pantry facilities. However, whenever possible, we are happy to share our family meals with one guest.
