  Are you ready for a fun adventure in one of the most green hostels in Sri Lanka? We’re looking for a couple of extra hands to help us throughout the season!
  
  If you want to stay in Sri Lanka a little bit longer, enjoy the surf and the sunshine and meet new people, come volunteer at our hostel! We work hard, but we also play hard so don’t worry there will be more than enough time to chill at the beach, go surfing or explore the local towns and places.

  Our hostel is located in a small town called Hiriketiya on the South Coast of Sri Lanka. We have many local staff members that would love to teach you some Sinhala and tell you everything about the local culture. We’re also set on creating an international social vibe, so meeting new people and sharing travel stories is guaranteed!

  We are looking for the following people with the following description.
  
  1. We are looking for social hosts throughout the whole year! (ONLY available for solo travellers, we can't host friends, couples or family members) Please DO NOT send us a message if you're a couple, friends or family members.
  
  What is the job of a social host? It's easy and fun!
  
  As a social host you’re the ‘face and glue’ of the hostel. It’s expected from a social host to be friendly, open minded and try to involve people in the evening activities. We have scheduled fun activities everyday like family dinners, quiz and movie nights and we’re going to a bunch of restaurants in town. Also we’re going to a party on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
  
  Your job is to communicate the daily activities with the guests, make sure that people sign up for the activities, contact the venues about how many people are participating and lead the people through the activities. Your day will consist of doing whatever you want during the day and being back at the hostel at 17:30 to watch the sunset to get the evening vibe started. We also have an ice bath going on two times a week (during the day) that you would moderate. The best part: you get free dinner at most venues and at some venues free (multiple) drinks!
  
  On top of that you'll also take over the instagram account and you can let your creativity flow with stories, reels or posts!

  Hébergement

  If you volunteer here you will stay in a separate room together with another volunteer, this room has the best views of the ocean! We have outside showers and toilets: just imagine yourself showering in the sunshine and looking up to the palm trees, welcome to paradise :)
  
  We offer you free accommodation, free food at family dinners, some free drinks and a discount on our breakfast prices. And like we said before: most venues offer us free dinners and some drinks!

  Autres infos...

  In Hiriketiya have amazing beaches and if you’re a surfer, you can catch some great waves. If you want to learn to surf, there are enough places where you can take a lesson. Our hostel is in the prime location between two beaches, the surf beach and the chill beach!
  
  A bigger town with a supermarket and cheap local restaurants is only a 10-minute walk away. In the area there are also many cool things to visit by scooter or bus, so you surely won't get bored here!
