  Description

  Since 2 summers we live in Allagen, a village at the Arnsberger Wald (Arnsberger Forest) in Sauerland in a house directly at the edge of the forest. The town of Warstein is about 12 km away, it is about 10 km to the Möhnesee (a lake) and about 15 km to Soest, a very pretty medieval town. In the lake you can swim, sail, fish... we have two cajaks that we can lend you. It is very quiet here and we enjoy the quiet life with our vegetablegarden and a small woodworkplace.
  
  I am 60 yrs. old, a trained furniture-makeress and yogateacher. At the moment I only teach very few classes and am mainly working in the garden and the house. I share the house with a friend. She is 80 yrs, old and topfit. She loves circledance, her flowergarden and cooking. We are both vegetarians.
  
  We have a nice guestroom for one person to use for your stay with us.
  
  It is important that you speak at least some German, as my friend does not speak English.
  
  We have no WIFI though there is good reception here. We only have a landline. We like to reduce the
  mobilerays around us. You can use our landline in the house for calls within Germany going to another landline or you would have to get your own WIFI and internet for your mobilephone or computer.
  
  I used to do a lot of travelling and always loved sharing life for a while with other people. Now that I am residential I am looking forward to being a host for travellers.
  
  Wir wohnen seit zwei Jahren in Warstein- Allagen, einem kleinen Ort am Arnsberger Wald/Sauerland in einem Haus direkt am Waldrand. Allagen ist ein eigenes Dorf in der Gemeinde Warstein. Die Stadt Warstein ist ca. 12 km entfernt. Es ist ca.10 km zum Möhnesee und ca.15 km nach Soest, einer wunderschönen mittelalterlichen Stadt. Im Möhnesee kann man super baden, segeln, standuppaddling, angeln. Wir haben zwei Kajaks, die wir dir/euch gerne ausleihen. Es ist sehr ruhig hier und wir genießen unser ruhiges Leben mit Gemüsegarten und großem Grundstück, arbeiten an mehr und mehr Selbstversorgung und Vernetzung mit guten Menschen vor Ort.
  
  Ich bin 60 Jahre alt, gelernte Tischlerin und Yogalehrerin. Ich unterrichte zur Zeit nur wenig Yoga und bin meist mit praktischen Dingen in Haus und Garten beschäftigt. Ich wohne im Haus zusammen mit einer Freundin, die 80 Jahre alt ist. Sie ist in Rente und topfit. Sie ist Kreistanzleiterin, liebt ihren Blumengarten und kocht gerne und gut. Wir sind beide Vegetarier.
  
  Wir haben ein gemütliches Gästezimmer für eine Person in dem ihr wohnen könnt.
  
  Wir haben kein WIFI obwohl hier Empfang ist, sondern nur Festnetz, weil wir dieHandy -Strahlen in unserem Umfeld gering halten möchten. Du kannst unser Festnetz für Telefonate ins deutsche Festnetz benutzen oder müsstest dir selber WIFI und Internet für dein Smartphone besorgen.
  
  Ich bin selbst viel gereist und habe es immer geliebt mit den Menschen vor Ort Leben zu teilen. Deshalb freue ich mich, nun da ich seßhaft bin, Gastgeberin sein zu dürfen.

  We have a jurt and with every fullmoon we invite for circledance and you are very welcome to join, if you like. In autum and wintertime we also invite to come together to sing in the jurt. You are welcome to join! We both are interested in the prechristian culture and spirituality. We love going to power-places in nature, old holy sites and would share them with you, if you are interested. The lake is really nice and so is the old towncentre of Soest. There are reguarly in the summer culutral events: special markets, music, streetart etc.
  We are very interested in networking with others in the area who love simple living, nature, working with the land and our own hands and supporting each other. So building a community without living all together. Maybe there could be interesting contacts for you for your further travels.
  
  Zu jedem Vollmond lädt meine Mitbewohnerin zum Kreistanzen in unsre Jurte ein. Dazu bist du natürlich auch herzlich willkommen. Auch kommen wir im Herbst und Winter öfters zum Singen in der Jurte zusammen. Wir beschäftigen uns beide viel mit alten Bräuchen und der vorchristlichen Spiritualität auch in dieser Region. Gerne besuchen wir Kraftplätze, die wir auch mit dir teilen würden, wenn es dich interessiert.
  Der Möhnesee in der Nähe ist sehr schön und Soest hat eine sehr besondere Altstadt.
  Uns ist es ein großes Anliegen in guter Vernetzung mit anderen in der Region zu sein, die auch ein einfaches naturverbundenes Leben lieben: Selbstversorgung (wenn auch nicht komplett) mit biologischem Gartenbau, vieles selbermachen statt zu kaufen, sich auch gegenseitig zu unterstützen und Gemeinschaft zu bilden, auch wenn man nicht zusammenwohnt. Aus unserm Netzwerk könnten sich auch noch weitere Kontakte für deine Weiterreise ergeben.

  Aide

  The main task we need help with right now is making firewood for the coming winters. Also the gardening is starting. We have big grounds and there are many things that want to get done: getting a pond repaired, building new hillbeds for vegetables, building sheds for storage ..... and getting the veggie garden going .
  
  Die Hauptarbeit bei der wir gerade Hilfe brauchen ist Brennholzmachen für die nächsten Winter. Auch geht es langsam im Garten los. Wir möchten Unterstände bauen nach dem Brückenprinzip von Leonardo da Vinci, den Teich reparieren, ein Hügelbeet anlegen ... genug zu tun.

  Hébergement

  Accomodation will be in our guestroom.
  We have our warm meal usually at lunch or in the early afternoon. Its all organic. And vegetarian.
  
  
  Unterkunft ist in unserem Gästezimmer.
  Wir essen immer mittags bzw. am frühen Nachmittag warm. Viel Frisches aus dem eigenen Garten, auch Wildkräuter, oder gekaufte Bio-Lebensmittel. Alles ist vegetarisch.

  Autres infos...

  There is an hourly bus (on working days) to Soest and to Warstein. The busstop is about 10 Minutes walk from our house. We have a bike that we can lend you. But we also can take you in the car to places once in a while.
  
  Es gibt eine Busverbindung nach Warstein und Soest, ca. stündlich (werktags). Wir haben auch ein Fahrrad, dass wir verleihen können. Wir sind aber auch bereit dich mit dem Auto ab und zu wohin zu fahren oder auch gemeinsame Ausflüge zu machen.

  Für kleinere Campervans ist Platz bei uns, für große Wohnmobile leider nicht. For smaller campervans we have space, for larger mobile homes however not.

  Possibilité d'accueillir les animaux

  We love animals and love to welcome your pet. But the following is important: We can only welcome pets that listen well to their owners, as we live right next to the forest and there are deer and other wild animals around. We also ask the owners to clean up the pets hairs carefully from the accomodation by leaving. The pets are not allowed to ly on the bed or furniture.
