Description
We are a small hostel on the Caribbean side of Costa Rica, near to beautiful beaches and surrounded by jungle and animals. We are running it with a lot of love and family vibe.
Our goal is to create a place for our guest to find a home away from home, even for a few nights.
We are looking for someone to help us with some reception hours, and attending guest questions and requests or someone to help us with the maintenance of our garden to see it very beautifull, all with a smile.
Other than that we are open to volunteers suggestions and help with any new project that will come.

The Caribbean side is beautiful, full of animals such as monkeys, sloths, frogs, raccoons and more.. beautiful clear water beaches and Afro Caribbean vibe.
You will get to explore the area, practice the language and meet a lot of people from all over the world that come through the hostel.
Aide
Reception work: guest registration, bicycle rental, information about the area, maintaining the cleanliness of the place.
Answer guest questions and requests - information about tours and services.
Maintenance work: Cleaning our garden, helping with the maintenance of the place.
We need someone who speaks English and Spanish, other languages are an advantage.

Cocles beach located 500 meters from the hostel. It is a beautiful Caribbean beach with palm trees and wildlife.
It is also the local surfing spot so you can rent a board, take surf lessons or try SUP and kayaking.
There are different beaches along the shore; each beach has its own unique vibe and look. We recommend getting a bicycle and easily move from one beach to the other exploring the area.
Waterfalls, local tribes, wildlife and lots of Caribbean cultures make this place magical.

Ole became our friend quickly, always ready to do whatever it takes and with a fun and calm energy. Guests loved him too, he created a beautiful atmosphere in the hostel during their shifts.
Elena came to visit the last weekend of her stay, she was adorable.

We don't have words to express our experience with Hagit and Martin, it was TRULY A WONDERFUL place to stay and work!
We stayed over a month there and felt part of the family straight away.

Carolina stayed 2 weeks with us and was very helpful, organized, and responsible.
For most of her shifts, she did extra work than what we ask for with cleaning common areas and making the place nicer to stay in.

I spent only 2 weeks in Puerto Viejo, I had to leave earlier for family reasons. But it was amazing! Hagit and Martin were super lovely and helpful. The work was pretty easy, I had to prepare the breakfast at mornings and sometimes take care of the reception.
