Description
We are a couple with a big ornamental garden, vegetable garden, some chicken, a cat and a dog.
We live in a beautiful region next to the Black Forest, not far from Freiburg, Basel (CH) and Strasbourg (FR).
Closed by, nice middle-age towns are easily reachable with our bikes.
We are both professional gardeners and we can provide expertise and experience in gardening.
Languages: German, English and some French. -

For us is cooking and eating together one of the best ways to come in cultural exchange.
And while working with us in our garden, you learn a lot about gardening - and also about yourself.
The best thing is the alliance of both: a good and healthy meal after a day with good physical work - and later sometimes long and wonderful conversations... -

We need help in gardening, small constructions, wood-cutting and also in house and kitchen.
We offer free board and lodging and expect help for 4-5 hours the day 5 days/week . -

Ruthi and Matt stayed with us for 2 weeks in February. They were well organized. And although the weather wasn't good, they worked every day outside. They tidied up our big garden from winter status and loaded the trailer several times with all the branches and leaves.

Raul stayed here spontaneous for four days. He worked a lot, wasn't afraid for the cold and wet weather and he did all the work very well.
He was interested in everything and we had an good exchange about cultural themes. He is friendly and he left the place very tidy.

Staying with Doro and Albrecht was such a wholesome experience. They are very welcoming and treated me with great food and fun conversation. The work was fair and a good learning experience. On my days off they took me around the Black Forest for site seeing. Kind people with good hearts, I highly recommend them.

Ryan stayed around 10 days with us and we had a good time together.
His main work was the cutting of a lot of bushes (balls and hedges) with the garden shears. He did that with patience and perseverance! Also the other works he got done like we told him.
He was well-organized and the communication was easy.

Manfred and Doro are a lovly couple to stay with. I enjoyed every Day of my short stay! At this place you can learn much about gardening Work, which is really peacefull, eat good food and stay with a couple you feel familiar with in an Instant.
