  Help us build a thriving permaculture garden in the north of Tenerife
  
  We are a family of five living on a finca in the green north of Tenerife, near Tacoronte, at around 700m altitude. Life here is a little different from the typical “always hot and dry Tenerife” image. We have fresh air, green surroundings, changing weather, rain from time to time and a peaceful atmosphere away from mass tourism.
  
  We are looking for 1–2 motivated people who would enjoy supporting us with our garden and outdoor projects while experiencing a more natural and family-oriented way of living.
  
  What we are creating
  
  Our dream is to slowly transform the finca into a productive and vibrant permaculture space with vegetables, fruit trees, companion planting and more self-sufficient systems over time.
  
  There is always something to do depending on the season, for example:
  
  • creating new garden beds
  • planting vegetables and trees
  • watering
  • weeding
  • mulching and composting
  • helping organize outdoor spaces
  • small DIY outdoor projects
  
  No professional experience is required. We care much more about motivation, reliability and enjoying outdoor life.
  
  About us
  
  We are a family with 3 children, a dog and chickens living on the finca. Family life is very much part of the atmosphere here, so it’s important that you enjoy being around children and animals.
  
  We love a simpler and more conscious lifestyle connected to nature, good food and meaningful projects.

  Unterstütze uns beim Aufbau eines Permakultur-Gartens auf Teneriffa
  
  Wir sind eine 5-köpfige Familie und leben auf einer Finca im grünen Norden von Teneriffa, in der Nähe von Tacoronte, auf etwa 700 Höhenmetern.
  
  Das Klima hier oben ist anders als das typische „immer heißes Teneriffa“. Es ist grüner, frischer und je nach Jahreszeit auch mal windig oder regnerisch. Dafür ist die Natur wunderschön und die Atmosphäre ruhig und fern vom Tourismus.
  Wir suchen 1–2 Menschen, die Lust haben, uns bei Gartenprojekten und rund um die Finca zu unterstützen.
  Worum es bei uns geht
  
  Wir möchten die Finca Schritt für Schritt in Richtung Permakultur und Selbstversorgung entwickeln.
  
  Dabei fallen je nach Saison unterschiedliche Aufgaben an, zum Beispiel:
  • Beete anlegen
  • Pflanzen setzen
  • Gießen
  • Unkraut entfernen
  • Mulchen und Kompostarbeiten
  • kleine Outdoor- und Gartenprojekte
  • allgemeine Unterstützung im Garten
  
  Du musst kein Profi sein. Viel wichtiger ist uns, dass du gerne draußen bist, mit anpackst und Freude an einem naturnahen Lebensstil hast.
  Über uns
  Bei uns leben 3 Kinder, ein Hund und Hühner auf der Finca. Familienleben gehört also ganz selbstverständlich dazu. Deshalb wünschen wir uns Menschen, die offen, unkompliziert und gerne in familiärer Atmosphäre sind.
  Wir lieben ein einfaches, bewusstes Leben mit Natur, gutem Essen und dem Wunsch, langfristig etwas Eigenes aufzubauen.

  Travelers will not experience a typical holiday here, but rather a genuine insight into a nature-based family life on a finca in the north of Tenerife.
  
  They can experience what it means to slowly create a more self-sufficient and permaculture-oriented lifestyle and see how a simpler, more conscious way of living can be created step by step.

  Reisende bekommen bei uns keinen klassischen „Urlaub“, sondern einen ehrlichen Einblick in ein naturnahes Familienleben auf einer Finca im Norden von Teneriffa.
  
  Sie können erleben, wie es ist, Schritt für Schritt mehr Selbstversorgung und Permakultur in den Alltag zu integrieren und wie man auch mit einfachen Mitteln ein freieres und bewussteres Leben aufbauen kann.
  
  Dabei können sie unter anderem lernen:
  
  • Grundlagen rund um Gartenarbeit und Permakultur
  • Arbeiten mit natürlichen Kreisläufen, Mulch und Kompost
  • Gemüseanbau unter den Bedingungen des kanarischen Klimas

  What we are looking for help with
  As we slowly develop the finca towards permaculture and a more self-sufficient lifestyle, there are always different outdoor and garden projects to do.
  Tasks may include:
  • Preparing and creating new vegetable beds
  • Planting vegetables, herbs and small trees
  • Watering plants, especially on warmer days
  • Removing weeds and maintaining garden areas
  • Mulching and helping with compost
  • Improving paths and outdoor spaces
  • Helping with small DIY outdoor projects
  • General support around the finca
  
  Some days are slower and relaxed, other days we work more intensively together depending on the projects and season. For us, this is not about “working through tasks”, but about creating something meaningful together and enjoying a nature-based lifestyle.
  
  You do not need professional gardening or permaculture experience. Curiosity, motivation and enjoying outdoor life are much more important to us.
  
  It would be great if you:
  • can help independently with simple tasks
  • enjoy being around children and animals
  • are interested in nature and sustainable living
  • don’t mind getting your hands dirty or helping outdoors sometimes

  Da wir die Finca Schritt für Schritt in Richtung Permakultur und Selbstversorgung entwickeln möchten, gibt es viele praktische und kreative Aufgaben draußen im Garten.
  
  Zum Beispiel:
  
  • Neue Gemüsebeete vorbereiten und anlegen
  • Pflanzen von Gemüse, Kräutern und kleinen Bäumen
  • Gießen, besonders an warmen Tagen
  • Unkraut entfernen und Beete pflegen
  • Mulchen und Kompost verteilen
  • Wege und Gartenbereiche verschönern
  • Unterstützung bei kleinen DIY-Projekten draußen
  • Allgemeine Hilfe rund um die Finca
  
  Manche Tage sind eher ruhig und entspannt, an anderen wird gemeinsam mehr geschafft. Uns ist wichtig, dass es kein „Abarbeiten“ von Aufgaben ist, sondern ein gemeinsames Projekt mit Freude an Natur und einem einfachen Leben.
  
  Vorkenntnisse in Gartenarbeit oder Permakultur sind kein Muss. Wenn du Interesse daran hast zu lernen, gerne draußen bist und mit anpacken kannst, passt das perfekt.
  
  Besonders schön wäre es, wenn du:
  • eigenständig kleine Aufgaben übernehmen kannst
  • Tiere und Kinder magst
  • Lust auf ein naturverbundenes Leben hast
  • keine Angst vor Erde, Regen oder körperlicher Arbeit draußen hast

  You will stay in a spacious 6-meter tipi surrounded by nature and peaceful garden areas.
  
  Inside the tipi, we use natural materials as much as possible, including a hemp fiber carpet and 100% cotton fabrics, creating a simple and cozy atmosphere connected to nature.
  
  At the moment, we are also building an outdoor kitchen area and an outdoor compost-style bathroom for the space. Until these are finished, the kitchen and bathroom inside the house are fully available for use.
  
  The accommodation is ideal for people who enjoy a simple, close-to-nature lifestyle rather than luxury tourism. Nights can sometimes be fresh because of the altitude, especially in winter months, but the atmosphere is very special and calm

  Du wirst in einem großzügigen Tipi mit 6 Metern Durchmesser wohnen, mitten in der Natur und umgeben von Garten und Grünflächen.
  
  Im Tipi verwenden wir möglichst natürliche Materialien, unter anderem einen Hanffaserteppich sowie Stoffe aus 100 % Baumwolle. Dadurch entsteht eine einfache, gemütliche und naturverbundene Atmosphäre.
  
  Aktuell entsteht außerdem noch eine Außenküche sowie eine Außentoilette für den Bereich. Bis diese fertig sind, können Küche und Badezimmer im Haus selbstverständlich mitbenutzt werden.
  
  Die Unterkunft passt besonders gut zu Menschen, die Lust auf ein einfaches, naturnahes Leben haben und nicht nach klassischem Luxusurlaub suchen. Durch die Höhenlage kann es vor allem abends und im Winter auch mal frisch werden, dafür ist die Atmosphäre hier oben ruhig, grün und sehr besonders

  In their free time, helpers can enjoy the quieter and greener side of Tenerife. There are many beautiful hiking areas nearby, small local villages, forests and volcanic landscapes to explore.
  
  The beach can be reached in around 15 minutes by car, and there are also natural swimming areas and coastal towns in the north of the island.
  
  There is a bus connection close to the finca, so it is possible to explore the area without a car, although having a car gives much more freedom to discover the island.
  
  Because we live at around 700 meters altitude, the climate here is usually fresher and greener than in the south of Tenerife. Especially in the evenings it can become cooler, which many people actually enjoy after spending time in the hotter parts of the island.
  
  We especially appreciate simple things here: cooking together, spending evenings outside, campfires, good conversations, gardening, music, nature and slowing down from everyday stress.
  
  This place is probably most suitable for people who enjoy nature, simplicity and authentic experiences more than nightlife or tourism

  In ihrer Freizeit können Helfer die ruhigere und grünere Seite von Teneriffa entdecken. In der Umgebung gibt es viele schöne Wanderwege, kleine kanarische Dörfer, Wälder und vulkanische Landschaften.
  
  Der Strand ist mit dem Auto in etwa 15 Minuten erreichbar. Außerdem gibt es im Norden der Insel viele natürliche Badeplätze und kleine Küstenorte.
  
  Eine Busanbindung befindet sich in der Nähe der Finca, sodass man auch ohne Auto mobil sein kann. Mit eigenem Auto ist man auf der Insel natürlich deutlich flexibler.
  
  Da wir auf etwa 700 Höhenmetern leben, ist das Klima hier meist frischer und grüner als im Süden Teneriffas. Vor allem abends kann es kühler werden, was viele nach der Hitze im Süden als sehr angenehm empfinden.
  
  Wir schätzen hier vor allem die einfachen Dinge: gemeinsam kochen, draußen sitzen, Lagerfeuer, gute Gespräche, Gartenarbeit, Musik, Natur und das Gefühl, etwas langsamer und bewusster zu leben.
  
  Dieser Ort passt wahrscheinlich besonders gut zu Menschen, die Natur, Einfachheit und echte Erfahrungen mehr schätzen als Party oder klassischen Tourismus
