Description
Hi We are Angie And Frank . We live in the middle of a pueblo On the edge of the Sierra De Aracena but, although we are in a village, we are Off-Grid. I'm Angie a 68yr old indie craft author and my husband Frank is 57 and is a 'computer geek who makes all my mad ideas possible, although it's a good job my mad ideas don't include getting very rich! We have just got 2 new kittens so we're a cat filled family. For that reason we can't have work-aways with dogs.
*We prefer the idea of having workawayers in pairs * Either a couple or friends, because we think you'll get more out of the experience and can enjoy the peaceful area together.
Our home looks small from the outside but is bigger on the inside and we have a big, faitly scruffy garden. I need help with the a few jobs I used to do. We need help from people with a can do attitude. Frank is a great vegetarian cook so we can feed our working guests and give a small amount of pocket money. In addition I can teach Spanish and polymer clay and other crafts. Frank can teach computer stuff and self publishing so if you prefer you can swap work and learning/creative retreat off time. Or you can just work really short hours and enjoy a 'mostly vacation' with just a very little helping out.
Our area is really beautiful for walking. It does get hot in July and August but there is a municipal pool. Our home has a slightly unfinished look but is comfortable. We are friendly and talkative but sometimes like an hour or two on our own as we're very used to only our own company.

We live in an almost entirely Spanish Speaking pueblo in a pretty sierra. Its NOT near the coast and it is very tranquil. There's a village pool in July and August. The locals are very friendly There is currently a bar with irregular hours in the main square. We don't know if it w8ill continue during winter. We can take you to nearby towns. We ourselves have had and have an interesting creative life and I'm a problem solver and inspirer. if you are thinking of starting a small creative business I can give you lots of support and inspiration. I love chatting with creative people who inspire me too. I teach English to Spanish people and can teach Spanish to English. I even have my own very relaxed almost grammar free method! I love sharing language and culture and foreign food! Frank is Vegetarian but I'm an omnivore. Frank is the cook in the family.
To be aware of ... We are not big drinkers but we do have wine or beer occasionally and I even get merry when I do! But, I used to be married to an abusive alcoholic so I'm not psychologically ready for alcoholics, (sorry), and we're non-smokers. if you smoke it has to be outdoors and with great care in the bone dry months. Otherwise we're pretty relaxed and you don't need to worry about breaking things etc. Sh** happens. ;-)
Aide
Maintenance help including painting and general moving stuff around!. Gardening. But not necessary. Frank can do some of the tough work. I used to do most of the DIY around here, but am not as strong now. If you want to learn Spanish as you go, or if you're a Spanish speaker and want to learn English, we can help with that. A week at a time is ideal for us but can stretch to a fortnight or more if we get along. Can also act as a 'hub' for exploring more of Spain Portugal.

I( Angie) am always interested in picking up a few words in any language and teaching those that I know. WE Love Northern European humour.
Hébergement
At the moment its a small clean guest room we can provide a fan in summer when it can be warm. We don't have air conditioning. There is no central heating but there is underfloor in the small guest room. There is a shared bathroom plus an additional 'emergency' toilet. Our house has several unfinished rooms so this will change. There is also an extra small kitchen/utility with a fridge sink a 2 ring cooker for guests to prepare their own breakfasts or if they want not to eat with us sometimes.

Transport options are very limited but we can take you to bus stops for Seville and Huelva each about an hour (more on the bus) away. Looking forward to meeting you!
