  Description

  Hi! We are Joan and Carla, 29 and 27 years old. We live in Els Boscos de Tarragona, a quiet area close to the beach and around 10 minutes from Tarragona city.
  
  We live in a house with a garden, a swimming pool and plenty of outdoor space. We also have two dogs: Yuna, a very affectionate Czechoslovakian Wolfdog, and Bola, a very cuddly little poodle. They are both very friendly and an important part of our daily life.
  
  We have just spent the last three months travelling around Southeast Asia, and we will be back home at the end of September. After travelling and meeting so many different people and cultures, we thought it would be really nice to continue that experience at home and meet someone from another country.
  
  We are mainly looking for a young, friendly and easy-going person who would like to experience life in Spain, get to know Tarragona and share some time with us.
  
  The main reason we are doing this is cultural and language exchange. Our English is still quite basic, so we are not fluent speakers. However, we can communicate and understand each other without any major problems. This is actually one of the main reasons why we would love to have this experience: we want to improve our English through everyday conversations and real life.
  
  We are not looking for an English teacher, but someone patient and happy to speak English with us. And of course, nowadays there is always Google Translate when we get stuck! 😄
  
  If you are interested in improving your Spanish, we would also be very happy to help you with that.
  
  We both have our own jobs, routines and things to do, so we don’t expect to spend all our time together. We really value having our own space, and we would expect the same from you. But we would love to share some moments too: going for walks with the dogs, going to the beach, having a drink, cooking together, visiting places around Tarragona or simply having dinner and chatting at home.
  
  In exchange for the accommodation, we may ask for a little help from time to time, mainly things such as taking the dogs for a walk or helping with something small around the house. Nothing like a normal job or working schedule — the cultural exchange and the experience of living together are much more important to us.
  
  As we will be sharing our home, we just expect the usual respect for the house, cleanliness and basic rules of living together. We are easy-going and want you to feel comfortable in our home, but we also think that respecting each other’s space and keeping things clean and tidy is important.
  
  We are looking for someone who could come from October onwards, ideally for a few weeks or more. We are open-minded about the exact length of the stay and would rather find the right person than set a strict period.
  
  We are really looking forward to meeting someone new, sharing our way of life and hopefully making a good friend along the way! 😊

  We can offer a real Spanish experience and share our everyday life with you. We would love to show you Tarragona, the beach and the surrounding area, go out for dinner or drinks, make plans together and introduce you to our friends and local places. In return, we would love to learn about your culture and practise English through everyday conversations. We are looking for a relaxed and friendly exchange where everyone can enjoy the experience and learn from each other.

  We are mainly looking for a social, cultural and language exchange. We enjoy going out, having dinner, grabbing a drink, going to the beach and making plans, and we would love to share some of these moments with you and show you Tarragona and the area. We would also like to practise English and Spanish in our everyday life. Small tasks around the house can be shared from time to time, and helping with the dogs is possible if you enjoy it, but it is not a requirement. The main idea is to have a good experience together, meet new people and learn from each other.

  Hébergement

  We live in Els Boscos de Tarragona, about 5 km from Tarragona city. It is a nice and quiet area surrounded by nature, with beaches, forests and some shops and supermarkets nearby, so you can easily buy food and anything you need.
  
  We live in a house with a garden and a swimming pool. You will have your own private bedroom, while the kitchen, bathroom and living room are shared with us. The house also has a washing machine, Wi-Fi and everything you need for a comfortable stay.
  
  The beach is close by, and Tarragona city is only a short distance away, so there are plenty of things to do and places to visit.
