  My name is Tanya. I run a dairycow farm in Karasjok in the North of Norway
  My farm is 6 km from Karajok
  I offer 3 different job options(one is volunter)

  Around Karasjok there is beautiful wild nature.
  Here you can experience the midnight sun in the summer and
  snow, cold temperatures and Nothern lights during winter.
  Temperature can be between +30 in the summer and below -45 during wintertime.
  24 hour daylight for a period during summer and 1 hour daylight for a period during wintertime.
  you can pick 4 kinds of berries, go fishing in the mountains(Fishing permit is required) , hiking in the nature, go skiing or play in the snow.
  Wild animals that exist in the nature around are bear, fox, lynx, squirell, hare, birds and fish etc.
  The village is a mix of norwegian and sami culture.
  You can visit the museum and the Sami parlament.

  3. JOB OPTIONS
  
  1. WORK WITH COWS. 4-12 months or more
  YOU MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH DAIRY COWS.
  You MUST have the ability to FOLLOW my INSTRUCTIONS and the messages that is given .
  The learning curve is steep.
  You must have the physique to be able to carry out the work. The work is physically demanding.
  You need to be handy.
  You can work independently and in team.
  You are a FAST LEARNER, Efficient, on time, reliable, flexible, good work ethic.
  
  75% More work in periods.
  The working day in the cowbarn is divided into two parts with morning and evening work on the same day. The work is on weekdays and weekends.
  
  You will do the daily tasks in the cowbarn, milking, feeding, cleaning, see if a cow is sick or in heat, contact the veterinarian and assist him, take care of the cow when it is giving birth and after, other things that might show up with the animals or machines and other farmwork. It will also be other work like fencing, tractor driving(if you have driving licence that is valid in Norway.), cleaning, repairs and all other kind of work that exist on a farm.
  
  YOU MUST HAVE DRIVINGLICENCE CATEGORY B.
  If you have permission to drive tractor and good experience with this it is an good advantage but not a requirement.
  Drivinglicence:
  B(EU) taken before year 2005
  or
  CE(EU)
  
  WORKSTART as soon as we have talked and I have offered you the job.

  2.CLEAN HOUSE.
  End of October/november. 1-3 weeks
  I need 1-2 persons to clean cealing, walls and floor in my house.
  You are good at cleaning and you like the task.

  3. TRACTOR DRIVING
  from approximatly 15 may -1 october. Start and end time depens on when the gras is ready to get harvested.
  REQUIREMENTS:
  Options that will you give you the right to drive tractor in Norway is:
  • CE for EU Citizens
  • B acquired before 01.01.2005 will give the right to drive tractor in Norway for EU Citizens.
  • BE code 144 for Norwegians(BE from other countries is not valid)
  • T Norwegian tractor driving licence(T from other countries is not valid)
  
  - GOOD EXPERIENCE with tractordriving is mandatory
  -FAST LEARNER
  -You like to do physical work.
  -You are willing to learn and follow the instructions given in a work situation.
  -You are Efficient, On time, Reliable, Flexible, Good workethic/ you have a desire to work,
  -You can work on your own and in team when needed.
  
  Sesonal work with tractor drivng out the maure and other tasks, driving the cutter, pickp trailer or roundbale maschine. Collecting the roundbales from the field, ploughing and fixing the filed. You will take care of the maschine, grease and clean them after. Other work make maschines ready, work with the transportation system to the silo, clean around them, putting weights on, clearing and cleaning machines after mowing and everything else that accompanies mowing.The job includes other farmwork too. It can be fencing, cleaning, work with cows, repairs and all other kinds of work that exist on a farm. It is not only a driving job.

  Caravan, room in house, the house is close to the farm. You will provide yourself with food. It is possible to bring your own caravan car to stay in.

  Farmwork is hard work. You will become dirty, sweat a lot and get tired.
  You need to have the health, physics and the mentallity to do the work.
