Such a beautiful experience! I had the opportunity to spend a month and it was the best month I spent in Belgium. Being able to live with a generous, humble, respectful, united and hard-working family was truly an experience that will remain in my heart.
Veronique and Stephan, and their children are very open and attentive with everything. Their

The tasks were not difficult, they always care about your well-being and help you a lot. I was also able to go with them to France for a few days. Even though I didn't know French I felt part of the family, playing cards, going to the beach, riding a bike and walking the dogs. I also loved picking currants and raspberries. It is a magical place and the family is always with open arms!
I spent a really lovely summer 2021! I hope to visit them soon.Vous pouvez seulement contacter les workawayers avec une adhésion active.

I had a lovely couple of weeks staying with Veronicque and Steffan at their beautiful home. The first week their young grandchildren were staying so I spent time looking after them, very cool kids and we had fun even though I couldn't speak any French! The second week I helped Veronique around the house and redecorating one of the bedrooms. Really
… read more nice relaxed atmosphere; I went horse riding with Veronique which was lovely and I had the time to visit Namur which isn't far away from where they live. All in all, a really lovely family to stay with :)Vous pouvez seulement contacter les workawayers avec une adhésion active.

This is a big and wonderful familly very kind and polite. Their house is like a cute castle and the landscape is green and beautiful, perfect for promenades. They have horses, ponies, dogs, ducks,...perfect for animal lovers! But they are also very well trainned animals.
I stayed there two weeks and by the end of my staying I got to improve my
… read more french a lot; but I felt like at home from the very start. They treated me like a daughter and I got to learn a lot from them and their culture.
In summary, I absolutelly recommend this family; I thank them a lot for letting me stay, for having such a patience to understand my french, for the interesting conversations, for showing me the belgian culture, for making me feel so useful, and many other things...merci!!Vous pouvez seulement contacter les workawayers avec une adhésion active.

Overall I enjoyed Belgium and I really loved seeing it from this family's point of view. Each and every one of the members of the family were kind and open to me. Veronique and Stephan helped me through a few sick days and with problems with my phone and I am very thankful for the both of them. Veronique is an amazing chef and was always patient

Which was exactly what I was looking forward to with this workaway.Vous pouvez seulement contacter les workawayers avec une adhésion active.

I have so many good things to say about this family that i don't really know where to start. It was a pleasure to be their first workawayer as they were all so kind and welcoming. Stephan speaks excellent English and we had many interesting conversations about the differences between our two countries. Veronique only speaks basic english but that
… read more was never really an issue as we made it work. Being close in age to their daughter Gabrielle, she often invited me along to things with her which was always lots of fun. The work was never difficult being mostly looking after their grandchildren when they visited, painting, and helping feed the horses. I learnt many new skills like stripping wallpaper, getting the horses into the paddocks and building a fire!
They always included me in family events and were so kind when i got a bit sick one weekend, insisting i rest in bed.
I really enjoyed the time i spent with the family and hope i will have the opportunity to visit them in the future.Vous pouvez seulement contacter les workawayers avec une adhésion active.
