Description
Welcome to our Catholic House of Prayer located in northern Ecuador.
Our mission is to welcome all people seeking God in an exceptional place surrounded by nature.
God called us in 2009 to open our old farm and put it at the service of everyone. Since then, we have experienced wonderful moments of meeting, sharing, and exchange through retreats, gatherings, and spiritual guidance. We are very sensitive to music and art, which allow us to express our gratitude and love for God.
The House of Prayer spans 28 hectares, which we have shaped over the past years through building and cultivating. But all of this is not achieved alone; it is thanks to the work and dedication of many who help maintain this place.
Through a rhythm of prayer and work, life at the house is always full of surprises, encounters, and unforeseen events that allow us to see God’s work in our daily lives.
Our main language is Spanish, and we also speak French and Italian. Our English is very limited, but we warmly welcome everyone.
We invite you to be part of this adventure, whatever your religion or belief may be, as long as you are open to living an enriching spiritual and human experience.

The House of Prayer is located among Afro-Ecuadorian and mestizo farming communities. We have ongoing exchanges with the local population (masses, visits, daily life, etc.), and it is important for us to speak Spanish to facilitate communication and learning, promoting an understanding of our culture.
Aide
Maintenance of gardens, orchards, and green spaces.
Planting and cultivation.
Basic masonry, electrical, and plumbing work.
Cleaning of all facilities (chapel, dormitories, swimming pool, halls, etc.).
Cooking.

Even if other languages are spoken, we ask for a minimum basic knowledge of Spanish to allow for good integration
Hébergement
Room for 4 people (not mixed) with shower and bathroom.
Room for two people/individual with shared shower and bathroom with the main house.
We provide sheets and blankets.
All meals are eaten together in the main house.
