Description
I have a beautiful villa in the western algarve. I am in a little village just outside Lagos. 6 minute drive to the beach. Lovely walks, two cafes within walking distance and on the bus routes.
Multiple beautiful beaches surround us as well as countryside and woodland.
I live with my two young children (5 and 8 years), our dog, cats and our chickens.
I have approximately 3 acres of land and the house to maintain. Looking for help in the garden and cleaning inside. This will be my house only and not any business related activities. DIY skills are always useful here too!

The language and the culture. I’m in a very Portuguese village. Lots of municipal events are organised in lagos. Sample the food, enjoy the beaches and wander the town.

I have a large house and about 3 acres so there is always stuff to do in the house and garden. I am also learning Portuguese so very open to language lessons also.
There is also painting, DIY and various garden tasks depending on the weather!

In exchange you’ll have a bed in a private off grid camp area. Fully set up with tent, mattress and bedding. Hot shower, toilet and kitchen area.

Helping hours are generally flexible. There’s lots to do in your free time and it’s best to have a car. Visit the fort in Sagres, wander the mountains of monchique or just head to Lagos and explore town a little.

Depending on your needs. There is no wifi or power at the camp site but there is a decent Wi-Fi connection and power at the kitchen area . There are also a few coworking spaces in Lagos, and generally all the cafes are quiet this time of year.

Yes. Happy to run an extension lead out and give use of washing machine and bathroom if needed. 😊

Laura have a beautiful house where she created a lovely home for herself, her kids and animals. I stayed almost 2 weeks and helped all around the house with spring/ deep cleaning. We spent just under two weeks with Laura and had a wonderful time. The property is gorgeous with stunning views of the country side. We had the opportunity to explore the surrounding area and Laura gave us some great tips of places to see. We’d highly recommend this Workaway to anyone wanting to spend time in the Algarve area.

Dan is lovely. He stayed in touch on his journey down, left the place tidy and got lots done while he was here. He helped in the garden with things like strimming and tree cutting. He also looked after my cats when I went away for a night. He’s friendly and polite and was nice to have around.

Sara and Alex were lovely. They stayed in their camper van and used the bathroom, laundry and electricity from the house.
They were happy to take on any jobs from weeding to painting and moving wood. They only stayed a few days as were travelling around but were really friendly and helped me out.

Adam was a really lovely guy. Very easy going and happy to chip in and have a go at various jobs. I actually had to leave my property for a few days and left Adam alone to take care of the house and my chickens. Everything went well and I would recommend Adam to future hosts.
