  Description

  My name is Niccolò, and I’m a 32-year-old software engineer living and working from my home in Foligno, Italy, nestled in the heart of Umbria. When I’m not immersed in coding or working on tech projects, I love spending time outdoors, whether it’s exploring the beautiful countryside, hiking in the nearby mountains, or visiting the stunning medieval towns in the region.
  
  I’m also a mountain biker and enjoy taking on the trails in the surrounding hills. I even have an extra bike, so if you’d like to join me for a ride, we can experience the area together.
  
  Back at home, I share my life with two wonderful canine companions: a lively three-year-old pup and a wise, affectionate seven-year-old dog. They’re full of personality and love going for walks, playing in the park, and, of course, soaking up all the love and attention they can get.
  
  I work from home, which allows me the flexibility to manage my time and host Workaway guests. I truly value cultural exchange and enjoy meeting people from all walks of life. In addition to my love for the outdoors and my dogs, I’m also passionate about board games and would be delighted to introduce you to my favorite ones—or discover new ones with you!

  Local Festivals: Depending on the season, you might catch the famous Giostra della Quintana, a historical jousting tournament with colorful parades and medieval-themed celebrations. Other cultural events and food festivals bring the community together with music, art, and local delicacies.
  
  Cultural Outings: Foligno is well-connected to other nearby towns like Assisi, Spello, and Perugia. These historic spots offer breathtaking architecture, beautiful churches, and art dating back centuries.
  
  In addition, Foligno is conveniently located within a two-hour journey from major cities like Rome and Florence, making it perfect for weekend trips or day excursions. For those who love the sea, you’ll be happy to know that in just about an hour by car, you can reach beautiful beaches along the Adriatic coast, perfect for a relaxing day by the water.
  
  Culinary Delights: Enjoy traditional Umbrian dishes such as porchetta, strangozzi pasta, and exquisite local wines. I’d be happy to introduce you to some of my favorite local spots, markets, and even cook meals together, sharing Italian recipes.

  My two dogs are a huge part of my life I would appreciate help with:
  - Walking and playing with the dogs: Giving them exercise and attention during the day.
  - Basic grooming: Bathing, brushing, and ensuring they’re comfortable and happy.
  - General care: Feeding, cleaning their areas, and providing companionship when I am busy with work.
  - Cleaning and organizing home: General tidying up, organization, or cleaning would be appreciated.
  
  As someone who loves to meet people from different cultures, I’m also interested in:
  - Language practice: If you speak a language other than Italian or English, I’d be thrilled to practice or learn more about it with you.
  - Sharing stories, cooking, or creative hobbies: If you have skills, talents, or interests you’d like to share, I'm eager to learn and make our time together enriching.
  
  Since I’m a software engineer, I’d be particularly interested in any Workawayers with an interest or background in tech. This might involve:
  - Coding or tech collaboration: Brainstorming, learning together, or working on side projects (entirely optional!).
  - Digital projects: Help with web content, design, or anything digital you have skills in.

  My house is located in a quiet residential neighborhood in Foligno, providing a peaceful setting that’s close to the town center, yet calm enough for relaxation and focus.
  You’ll have your own room, equipped with a comfortable bed, bedding, and storage space for your belongings. The room is bright, clean, and maintained with your comfort in mind. My home is fully climate-controlled, with air conditioning for hot summers and radiator heating to keep you cozy during cooler months.
  The house features a shared bathroom, which is kept clean and stocked with essentials. We also have a kitchen where we can cook and share meals together. I enjoy making traditional Italian dishes and would love to exchange recipes or even cook together, so food can be a shared experience. Meals can be arranged based on our schedules and preferences, whether shared, cooked separately, or even taking turns. Light breakfasts and some meals will often be available to enjoy together.
  In addition, I have a study room where I work. If you need a quiet place to read, focus on a project, or simply enjoy a little extra workspace, you're welcome to use it when I’m not working.
