Description
We are looking for a nice group of people to work together, we will be carrying out spring time gardening and clearing of rubbish left over from the winter renovations. If you are available for a couple of weeks.

Hi all,
I am Garry originally from England, but after many years of traveling i settled in Sweden for 8 yrs, many of these doing workaway. 3 years ago i decided to move again and now im living in South West France just outside Bergerac. Where it's warmer and still have great nature. The garden and the swimming pool are now finished. We need help with gardening, helping cut the grass and cutting plants etc. There is also help with planting our veg garden.
We are about 25 km from Bergerac near Lalinde, just by the river. Bergerac has a main train station and airport. Lalinde has, restaurants ,shopping etc. All you really need.
I look forward to not only working together but sitting around the camp fire exchanging story's of travels and life experience. I really enjoy the cultural exchange of workaway and the company it gives me.
If you are looking to experience the local french culture? This is a great location with much to do of interest. Winery's, chateau's, kayaking on the river etc
I have a love of Art although I have yet to find my favourite medium ?
Back in Sweden we had great fun growing our own vegetables and cooking and preserving then.

Well I can't teach you French but maybe you can teach me?
I can tell you what it's like to live in a foreign country as I have done this several times in the past.
Also about Swedish tradition and way of life, things that swedes take for granted.
Over the Last few years we had people of all ages 18 to 74. From all over the world ! Japan to Mexico and all of Europe!
Many young people who came to stay, were a little lost in life and looking for new people and new ideas, this was really lovely. And we all got on and had a great time learning from each other.

i need help with the garden, and veg patch. No skills needed but a willingness to help with manual tasks, etc. . And gardening
We are about 25 km from Bergerac near Lalinde, just by the river. Bergerac has a main train station and airport. Lalinde has, restaurants ,shopping etc. All you really need.
(General help with the existing garden and flower beds etc.)
I don't expect you to be skilled in these tasks but just be willing to help out and maybe learn something for your self.

My home has 7 bedrooms. so you will be pleasantly surprised! Depending on how many people are staying at once? Will determine if you will need to share a room or have a room to your self. I like Workawayers to stay about 2wks but if we all get along well, many have stayed much longer and some have returned year after year.
Im vegetarian. I love to cook but at the same time if you also like to cook then I'm cool with that.
All food will be included during your stay (vegetarian)
You can get your own meat, no problem if you like to BBQ etc.

From The local train station of Lalinde you can take the train to Bergerac or Bordeaux. or to all the major cities. There are many tourists places close by. If you enjoy walking or biking the countryside, forest and lakes are all around. I hope to soon get some kayaks because we are so close to the river.

This was Romana's first workaway. And I don't usually take 18 year olds. But she was great. I left her to do tasks and she was more than capable. She was stripping wallpaper and painting. Some nights she offered to cook for us all.

Garry is a very kind and outgoing guy and even though we didn't spend lots of time together I was thoroughly pleased with my stay and can definitely recommend.

Malin & Nicole were great help they were happy to help with many different tasks including gardening and painting. They were happy to Cook the food when needed. I'm very grateful for their help while I was stressed with moving. I would definitely recommend them to other hosts.

Antonia her boyfriend and brother came to stay, I think it wa 3 weeks. They were great and helped me move house and also did some DIY. Fitted new windows and painting. I'm very grateful for their help at such a stressful time. I would definitely recommend them to other hosts.

Juan came to help for a month and was a great help. I very much enjoyed his company and his crazy running in the snow. Juan was a good worker and enjoyed many different aspects of the building project.
Any future host should not be put of by his age. He is a very mature young man. I also enjoyed talking about life and our life experiences.

Spent a month with Garry and what a nice experience it has been.
I've helped reforming a house, he will always listen to your ideas and has many many great stories to tell.

Un mois chez Garry avec mon ami Juan. Garry cuisine comme un chef, nous nous sentons comme notre maison car il nous a laissé vraiment libres. Je vais manquer la belle vue sur le lac gelé devant la maison. Nous l'avons aidé à peindre son appartement près de la maison et l'avons laissé prêt. Merci Garry et tout bonheur à vous 😀

Sorry I'm late leaving my feedback.
Neo stayed with me in the spring time and we worked great together. I enjoyed his company and he was very helpful with the tasks we did. Mostly heavy building work (movie greenhouse and building decking.) I would definitely invite him back and recommend him to other workaway.

Lina came to stay for a couple of weeks. She was great company and helped out where ever needed. She is not afraid of work. We had nice conversation and enjoyed our spare time together. For me she is very mature for her 19 years :thumbsup:. I would definitely recommend her and invite her back in the future.

The guestroom is very comfortable and the work was flexible and never too hard. In my freetime I had enough time to use the boat to go out on the lake, drive with Garry to town or just enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

I stayed with Garry for a week,it was a quite short but I enjoyed. Garry was always welcoming,and jobs were not so difficult. I pained an animal house, gardening and picking some apples and also there was beautiful nature. I could feel relaxing. I highly recommend joining in Garry.

Angel was a joy to have around. All the way from Mexico to Sweden, he showed a lot of interest in the Swedish way of life and the culture. Angel was a great team player and helped out whenever asked.
