Une belle communauté, avec des gens super sympa dans un très beau coin de Norddrein-Westfslen. Ici on mange ensemble chaque soir. J'ai pu accomplir plein de taches chouette en journée, et donner mes cours de soutien le soir. Merci beaucoup pour l'hospitalité !

We stayed almost two weeks with the guys. It has been a great time to calm down from a long exhausting time. Directly we felt like home! Thank you! We absolutely loved the place. We experienced how the guys are going and saving food via a private group has organized itself and created the *FoodSaving*. It is a happy place with many kids, joy,
… read more fresh baked bread and cakes. To spend time with free cows and horses was filling our heart as well. Totally recommend to stay and gain some experience at the farm. Suggest only if not feeling bored with yourself to come with a friend, because the guys are working and therefor not having the full time to spend with you. But again, for us it was just perfect! As we had each other and our time for ourselves. Every dinner we would eat together with a happy vibe! Thank you again. I stayed at this wonderful place for 9 days and with two other workawayers. It was a wonderful time getting to know all of these lovely human beings and their animals. They were very welcoming, friendly and funny. It quickly felt like we too were a part of the community. The jobs were fun and fair and gave opportunity to meet every individual of
… read more the community. There's a very peaceful environment and they made sure we had what we needed, felt good and didnt work too much at all and have a lot of good resting and too chill around.
The food was very nice and every meal was cosy with whoever was around to share meal and conversation with us. And it's a very beautiful area!

I spent one month together with another 2 workawayers and we had a fabulous time!
We directly felt home and got along very well with all the people on the farm. There were very different tasks waiting for us (inside, outside, creative, physical (but no too exhausting), with and without animals, ...) and we often had the possibility to choose
… read more between the tasks. We had a lot of freedom, as we really did not have to work longer than 4-5 hours. For each task, someone different of the community took responsibility and so we got to know all of them quit well and learned different skills. You will work the most amount of time on your own (or with other workawayers), as the people on the farm have their one jobs and they showed us a lot of trust in our skills and ideas.
The sorrounding nature is beautiful and the food was marvellous!

It was my first experience with workaway and I couldn’t hope for better! The people, the place and the vibe were exactly what I was looking for. I could only stay for two weeks this time, but I would definitely like to go back! I didn’t speak a word of German at the beginning but that was no problem as everybody speaks English. And if you are
… read more willing to learn, they will help you improve your German.
The jobs are easy and well explained, the schedules are clear and flexible, and you have plenty of time off. There will not always be someone by your side when you are working (or when you are staying there, in general) because they expect you to be a bit autonomous. In my case, that wasn’t a problem and I loved the balance between privacy/independence and the warm community moments.
In short: wonderful people that make you feel home right away, beautiful place for people who love the countryside and great opportunity to learn (be it the language, the culture, gardening, cooking or even playing an instrument). I would highly recommend!

Arriving was such a relief for us! We had recently had some difficult WorkAway experiences and were a bit apprehensive but we immediately felt warmth, energy and whole hearted acceptance. Sanne and Nadja are so full of conversation, openess, understanding and a great interest in other ways of life.
We have never felt so much perceptiveness
… read more towards our individuality and such desire to really make use of our individual passions and skills. Sanne knew very quickly that Albert would be suited to building a roof and Rose to painting a mural. These jobs really gave us a special feeling that we have not felt anywhere else.
If you want to be treated as an individual and have freedom in your tasks then this is a great great place for this - especially if you are a skilled craftsperson. If you want to do lots of little routine tasks then it is also a great place for this kind of work.
We see it as a wonderful new community of brilliant and lovely people just beginning on a path to sustainability with interest in permaculture, animals and arts. It has Sanne, Nadja and Stephan at the helm and together they are an amazing core group of people who will eventually find the wonderful, active and diverse community they seek.
We would have loved to stay much longer here but a prior engagement took us away early we hope to see some of the crew again in the future but until then we can only hold our sincere gratitude to them for their beautiful kindness towards us.
