I am inspired by other people who are unapologetically themselves. I enjoy engaging in deep conversations to as I truely believe we can learn something from every one in this world.

I love the ocean, diving, surfing, hiking and sailing. I love cooking wholesome dinners and a passionate about health, nutrition, mental health. I started Dawn dippers - a social dip and coffee club in Townsville, Australia which speaks my passion in connecting people together. I currently work for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Marine Science (ATSIMS) program - this is where my passion and purpose lies - helping First Nation youth find their voice in Marine Science.

I travel to make connections with family overseas, broaden my perspective and learn about how other cultures go about their day. Travel has reminded me how big but also small this world is. It has taught me to be more observant, present, thankful, perform more acts of kindness and see the common humanity amongst us.

I have completed a workaway in Nelson New Zealand for a week with a friend. We were helping cook and renovating the lovely family’s house. These experiences have prepared me to thrive in a dynamic, hands-on, and collaborative environment. I have also worked in a volunteer capacity as a preschool teacher assistant alongside the Yolŋu people of Elcho Island and as an assistant first aid instructor in the Kimberley region on cattle and research stations. These experiences have enhanced my ability to live remotely and work within a small team efficiently with a range of people. Concurrently, I have learnt adaptability, problem-solving skills and resilience.
Further, I have participated in working bees on a remote island in the Great Barrier Reef (Orpheus Island) gaining familiarity with the station’s operations, maintenance, housekeeping, and educational activities.

I bring strong scientific and laboratory skills through my field experience in coral aquaculture (AIMS), dugong research (North Queensland), and juvenile shark sampling (French Polynesia).

I am currently a eco tour guide and marine biologist. I also mentor Indigenous Australians to help them find their voice in marine science. I have previously been a swimming teacher and cafe supervisor.

I have a boat license, jet ski licence, first aid, CPR and rescue diver qualifications.
