Que habilidades tienes?
We are a fit and very active couple who love the great outdoors. We have worked in many roles over our working lives, and gained a variety of experience and skills that we feel we can bring to many different projects and volunteer positions.
Steve is a fitter by trade and is a very competent all-rounded handy man. He has strong farming, maintenance and mechanical skills and knowledge. He has a broad range of vehicle driving capabilities (forklift/4wd/truck etc…) and very sound repair and building skills.
Michelle has a nursing background and has worked for many years in the health and disability industry. She has also worked in coordination, project management and team leadership roles and has developed and facilitated community groups and programs. Michelle has staff/volunteer recruitment and training experience and very strong admin and English language skills. Michelle has recently been developing a strong interest (and gaining some experience) with content writing. Michelle has also worked in the accommodation and hospitality industries from time to time as well.
We have been professional house and pet sitters for many years and can also provide high quality in home support and care to aged/disabled.

Algo más...
We are traveling the world for up to five years, with the goal of truly experiencing places, people and cultures and to share meaningful connections and experiences. We have adopted a lifestyle where it is our priority to make choices in life that are based on connection, heart, simplicity and kindness; For making a difference in ways that really counts. By embracing our new motto; “consume little, live big”, we turned our approach to life on its head a few years ago. We are now incredibly motivated to live simply and to explore opportunities that fill our heart and soul in a way that material possesions never could.
We commenced our travels on bicycle in January 2025 and cycled from Newcastle, NSW to Melbourne, Victoria (Australia). We then flew from Melbourne to Osaka, Japan with our bikes and our expedition gear. Unfortunately in June 2025 Michelle had a bike accident in the mountains on the Island of Shikoku, which resulted in a shoulder injury. Much to our devastation, our epic adventure was over in an instant and we found ourselves back home to seek medical attention.
After six years of pouring everything into bringing this dream to life, giving up in the face of this setback, was never an option. For us, this was simply a time to adjust our sails. Over the past five months, we’ve pushed through - putting in the extra hard yards and now, for he next 12 months we’ve planned a new kind of journey – a sidestep adventure of backpacking, hiking and “by any means travel”. This trip will take us, (and our followers) through regions of Southeast Asia, Canada, Alaska, the USA, South America and Nepal. The dream has not ended – it’s just evolving! From there, we hope to be able to pick up our cycling dream and carry on through many other amazing countries.
As Steve and I are making our way around the world, we share our travel stories, connections and insights. We include practical advice and recommendations for fellow travellers and adventure enthusiasts. We model safe travel practices and encourage and highlight ethical and ecological tourism.
