Hi! My name is Sophie and I am 25 years old. I am from the US and I am currently in my first year of medical school. I am hoping to do a Workaway in August 2026.

I spent a year and a half before medical school living in Colombia working as an English teaching assistant at a university. I speak English, Spanish, Portuguese (intermediate), and French (intermediate). I am also hoping to study Italian! My dream is to be a global health physician and be involved in health education and humanitarian projects around the world.

I have years of experience working with children as a camp counselor, running coach, tutor, and teacher. I taught English at the university level for one year in Colombia. I am good at coordinating events and service projects and love to communicate with people from different parts of the world and learn about new cultures and languages.

I exercise regularly and would also be interested in helping with any physical tasks such as farming or cleaning. I regularly cook for myself and would like to learn more cooking skills and learn how to make dishes from different cultures.

I am learning how to paint and would love to be involved in art projects! I also like to exercise and practice calisthenics regularly. I also love Latin dance (salsa, merengue, bachata) and would love to find people to dance with and learn from.
