I am an avid adventurer and innately curious about the abundant ways to live on this Earth! Through travel I seek cultural exchange and immersion in alternative lifeways.

I'm looking for a Workaway experience because I learn best through direct experience, trying new things, practicing skills, and hearing stories. I'd like to join a team of people whose heart and soul go into the work they do, who are generous with their knowledge and wisdom, who lead with compassion, and who believe in their power to manifest a collective vision. The health of people and the environment is central to the vision I wish to share. I like to say that "health is wealth and joy is medicine!"

Because I work seasonally as a wilderness guide and surf instructor:

• I can provision and prepare meals for groups of hungry hikers
• I can manage risk and perform basic first aid in remote locations
• I've worked with all age groups from kids to seniors
• I work well in group settings
• I pick up new skills quickly
• I can translate my experiences into instruction for others
• I lead with empathy and compassion

And I do this work because:
• I'm passionate about helping people form lasting relationships to the natural world and realize our own powers to shape the environment
• I have an unquenchable thirst for adventure


In university I studied land use management and sustainability practices. I'm eager to learn more about agroecology, permaculture, aquaculture, natural building, traditional knowledge, and ecological restoration.

I also love to paint, illustrate, design, write, and build.

My grounding practices are movement and writing.
I love yoga, surfing, acrobatics, and dancing.
I write most mornings about whatever comes to mind - intentions, reflections, questions, and always gratitude.

I'm curious about physical and energetic healing through movement, nature connection, and massage therapy. I look forward to one day completing a yoga teacher training and obtaining a massage license, but for now I'm just gathering wisdom wherever I find it!

My favorite book is Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer. My favorite poems are Wild Geese by Mary Oliver, In the Waves and Underneath by Rumi, and Song of the Open Road by Walt Whitman.
