Hi there, I'm Mika! I hope you're having a wonderful day.

After finishing school 2021 I've made my first workaway experiences in my home country Germany and now I'm ready to get my hands dirty again :) I'm a chill, outgoing human trying to find my place in the world and make it a better place for future generations. That's kind of my job as well, I am a "Jugend und Heimerzieher" and spent the last 3 years working in a "Wohngruppe".

I love dancing, singing, jamming, cooking, being in the sun, working hard, sleeping well, talking, thinking, dreaming,...

I can and love doing garden work (planting, harvesting, watering, weeding,...), cooking/housework and spending time/playing with children. My ideal workaway would be a mix of all of those things :)

Hallo Workaway community!

Ich bin Mika, 22 Jahre jung und endlich fertig mit meiner Ausbildung als Jugend und Heimerzieher! Meine letzten Jahre in einer Wohngruppe haben mich super krisenfest gemacht, flexibel, emphatisch und sehr geduldig... Aber sie haben mich auch ziemlich gestresst und mir gezeigt, wie schnell man in Überstunden rutschen kann :) deswegen nutze ich jetzt, nach Ende der Ausbildung, endlich die Gelegenheit, mache ich mich frei vom schwabenland und erkunde Deutschland!
Ich habe schon vor Anfang meiner Ausbildung Erfahrung auf Workaway gesammelt. Großer Fan war und bin von Workaways mit community und Kindern, bei denen man einfach mitgenommen wird :) ich habe nicht wahnsinnig viel Erfahrung mit Garten Sachen, lasse mir aber gerne Dinge zeigen. Ich finde auch nervige Aufgaben können mit der richtigen Musik sehr entspannend sein. Neben Gartenarbeit bin ich immer für Kinder Beschäftigung zu haben, habe einen sweet Spot für (große) Hunde und andere Tiere (solange man sie nicht isst!), kann auch im Dreck arbeiten, kochen und backen, musizieren, tanzen,....

Ein gewisses Maß an Bewusstsein für den eigenen co2 Fußabdruck, für die Privilegien die man hat, für die Lebensrealitäten von queeren Menschen und Minderheiten gehört für mich dazu. Ich bin links und nicht esoterisch.

I currently spend my days working with so called "difficult" children so I'm used to responsiblity and stress ^^ I love learning more about psychology and kids. I cook vegan/vegetarian on a daily basis and would love to learn how to grow the fruits and vegetables I eat.
I don't really have experience with building and things like that but I'm young, fit, and enthusiastic to learn!
