… read more needed - and sometimes this means giving up personal space & time. Know this before coming; but also know that you’ll be able to lean on the people around you to help. I have seen how open communication, especially with Helena, has led to a more sustainable and considerate working environment for volunteers.
At the end of the day, no matter how tired or dirty, you will always be able to find love from the animals, fellow volunteers, the land, and Helena. Sometimes it’s easy to forget, but you are all in this together.
This is the perfect place for someone who wants to learn more about animal care & rescue, life on a sanctuary, and how to truly dedicate yourself to a cause. If you find yourself there, take it all in - it’s worth it. Thank you Helena, and I wish all the best to everyone there too!
