Hello,
My name is Laia, I was born in the Mediterranean coast of Spain in 1985. Since 2008 I'm living between the Azores islands and the rest of the world.

I’m very interested in alternative ways of living, food sovereignty, natural building, self-sufficiency and I have a lot of experience helping in this kind of projects.

I also work professionally as a chef. I cooked for retreats, festivals, restaurants, hostels, boat charters,etc.
I have a vast experience cooking natural and vegetarian dishes but also with animal products. I love fermenting foods and drinks, I'm recently experimenting with the potential of Koji and I'm truly amazed by it's power of transformation.

What I like more in the kitchen is the creativity that comes to me and the satisfaction of seeing happy fed people :)
I love growing my own vegetables, hunt for mushrooms or going to fish. The best meal is prepared with what nature give us.

I have myself a project of permaculture and natural building in the Azores islands where I spend time when I’m not traveling and also have volunteers who come to help me sometimes.

When I have availability I love to give my energy and skills helping projects I trust and I highly appreciate sharing quality time with people. The cultural and human exchange is very important to me.

I have a strong sens of responsibility and always do my best when I work while keeping the fun!
