Hi all!

We are Finnish couple exploring Aotearoa from Sep 2023 until Sep 2024.

Meet Kati:
In my civil life I'm a digital development project lead, but in NZ I'm pretty happy to get my hands on with anything to do with nature and outdoors. I get excited over outdoors, activities, rugby and new people.

I grew up on a Finnish countryside. I did an exchange year in New-Zealand South island on 2006 and spent some time on farms. I have lived with cats and dogs and I'm also a very happy dogsitter to all of my friends. I also volunteered in a small animal sanctuary and got experience on working with pigs and sheep there.

I'm a home-owner who renovated my own home, so I'm pretty handy. I also love a bit of a gardening.

Meet Meeri:
I love animals, and actually I've been always surrounded by them, being a horse girl from my childhood and being grown up in a small village. I have been always willing to take care of cats, dogs & horses of friends, family and acquaintances in Finland. I have also lived with dogs & cats.

I volunteered at a animal sanctuary in Greece for several months when I was younger and those were the best months in my life. Most recently I have been helping my friend out at her farm, where there are horses, ponies, cats, dogs, chickens, goats, sheep and ducks.

Professionally I've done plenty in my life, and latest designed digital services. Here in NZ I just want to get my hands dirty and learn new skills.

Que habilidades tienes?

We both have worked in restaurants, cafes, social work with differently abled people and today we are both doing digital services. Kati is a project lead and Meeri service designer.

Kati:
I have coached womens rugby team for five years now and played myself about ten years.
I love all the stuff outdoors and over the last year I have taken on my old hobby, hiking and also learned how to mountain bike and paddle. Outdoors is more and more important to me every day.

I have a summerplace that I look after with friends.

Meeri:
I'm a digital service professional, so I can use my skillset for creating customer centered web sites and other digital concepts. I'm a designer, so I have quite a good eye for visual details. I have also worked a lot at the field of fundraising & campaigns, so if you need help with that, I can help you!

In my private life I have played roller derby for years, so I do know how to skate & coach. I'm also and diver and runner. I know about horses & animals quite a lot, and I love to take care of them & work with them the most.
