Hello! 🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏼‍♂️
We're two 23-year-old friends from Germany who have just been freed from the clutches of university deadlines and school internships and now we're off on the trip of a lifetime. We love camping (even if it's just in our backyard) and we've lost count of how many times we've turned random spots in nature and parking lots into our cozy living room by popping open the trunk of our car and making tea on the go. We're the kind of friends who can turn anything into a fun adventure!
We may travel as a duo but we're always curious to meet new people, learn new things and share good stories along the way. Oh, and we always carry snacks, sunscreen and at least three shared inside jokes - because some essentials are universal.

Gina:
I’m currently obtaining a degree in Cultural Studies and English Language. I have a deep interest in how cultures communicate and share ideas and I also enjoy exploring new perspectives through literature, art, music and conversation. My semester abroad in Syndey sparked my interest for Australia and New Zealand so I want to spend some more months in these beautiful countries. I’m always eager to learn more about the world and to meet new people while contributing to my community.

Eric:
I am studying to get a Master of Education in German and Politics. My semester abroad in Jakarta, Indonesia at the German International School has equipped me with a lot of hands-on experience in teaching and working with children. I am passionate about different cultures and peoples, and teaching teens & young adults. I also have some experiences with teaching German as a foreign language.

Gina:
I really like everything to do with arts and crafts and can offer help when it comes to practical things. Through my work in administration and event organization I am familiar with the principles of good customer service and friendly demeanor. I enjoy working in a team, as well as working independently and I hope I can gain insights into some new skills on our travels. I am particularly interested in learning about gardening, farmwork, cooking and DIY projects.

Eric:
I’m an organized and reliable team player, but I’m also able to take initiative and work independently when needed.
Having lived and worked abroad in Jakarta, I bring a good dose of cultural curiosity, openness, and adaptability to every new situation – always ready to learn and contribute with a positive spirit. I enjoy spending time in nature (preferably when the sun is friendly and not trying to roast me alive).
