Hello future hosts!

I am Esbern 30 Y/O male from Auckland. I've just arrived back in New Zealand after 2 years in Canada. Passionate about community, food, travel, farming, surfing and plant medicine.

I've been using workaway for 9 years now, as a tool for me to meet cool people, understand different lifestyles and upskill myself.

Disclaimer: this is my forth workaway account. My first was me solo travelling Europe and Asia. Second was me and my ex girlfriend travelling USA, Central and South America. third was me and my best friend, when we road tripped through BC, Yukon and Alaska.

Workaway has changed my view on the world. The generosity and experience I've shared with people through this beautiful network. Has given me the want to create my own space and share it with others.

I'm wanting to buy some land in Northland. Start doing my own form of homesteading!

I've worked in hospitality for the last 15 years, as a chef for 11 years. Most recently at an indigenous owned eco tourism lodge in Haida Gwaii, BC.

Most of my to do a lot of cooking and food preservation at most of the workaways I do. But also happy to do whatever is helpful. I'm really fit and enjoy doing manual labour jobs. Love working with animals and plants. Have basic skills in carpentry.

I am a chef who has been working and traveling for the last 9 years. The last two years I've been working at an indigenous owned
eco tourism lodge. I have a passion for farm to table and foraging wild ingredients. Outside of cooking I love working with plants and animals.
