Hi! My name is Denise. I’m 19 years old, from the Philippines, and I’m currently studying veterinary medicine in Romanian language in Romania.
I grew up in an urban area, so I don’t have much experience with animals beyond cats and dogs. I’d also love to learn more about farming and sustainable living. I’ll do my best to help however I can. My dream is to one day live close to nature with my family, growing and eating food from our own backyard.
Fun facts about me:
I make vlogs.
I love chocolates! A whole chocolate spread only lasts me a week, so I try not to buy them too often.
I have a cat back home in the Philippines. Seeing her grow up in pictures without me feels like being a mom who missed her child growing up (don't we all?).
I chose veterinary medicine because I believe it's the closest I can get to experiencing life fully.
Traveling makes my eyes brighter, I wish I could do it all the time. I volunteered for two weeks in Hungary through European Solidarity Corps and met a lot of wonderful people. It was amazing to see how they can be spontaneous and knowledgable at the same time. Their confidence inspired me to be more confident with myself too. I also went on a workaway in the Netherlands for 10 days. It was a very new experience but the host made sure to include me in everything.
I believe volunteering is the best way to travel.
