About us
Hello!! We are Debora and Matteo, a married couple from Italy living in a small town near Monza, surrounded by nature. We love spending time outdoors, going on long walks every day with our dog Doc, and discovering new places in a slow and meaningful way.

We enjoy using our holidays not only to explore new landscapes, but also to meet new people and understand how life is lived in different countries. That’s why we like Workaway: it gives us the chance to learn, help, share, and connect – not just travel.

About Debora
I’m 32 years old and I work as a psychologist and also as a high school psychology teacher. In my job, I love combining different approaches, including art therapy, theatre, mindfulness, autogenic training, and group relaxation techniques. I also work with animals in therapeutic settings, especially dogs and horses, and I strongly believe in the healing power of the human-animal bond.

About Matteo
Matteo is 34 and teaches mechanical drawing and technical subjects in a school. He is very hands-on, always curious to learn and help: he’s great at gardening, home repairs, fixing things, and he doesn’t mind getting his hands dirty! He’s also a passionate cyclist and motorbike rider – and a truly excellent cook.

About Doc🐾
Duca is our 4.5-year-old Australian Shepherd. He’s very smart, full of energy, friendly and always excited to explore new places. We usually bring him with us on trips when we can travel by car – he’s part of the family and loves being outdoors with us.

Our travel style
We don’t have long holidays because of our jobs, but we always try to make the most of the time we have. Workaway helps us discover countries from the inside, not just as tourists, but as people interested in the local culture, lifestyle, nature and community. We love simple, real experiences – and we’re always happy to lend a hand and learn something new.
