Most people are surprised when they get to know me, because I don’t really fit into one box.

Hi! I’m Vida, from China. I’m bilingual in Mandarin and English.

I’m probably not the first Chinese traveller you’ll host—but I might be the first competitive bodybuilder who’d love to share healthy Chinese recipes and a few workout tips along the way.

After exploring 15 countries, I’ve realized the people are always more memorable than the places. I love hearing family stories, discovering local traditions, wandering through neighbourhood's markets, and experiencing a destination beyond the guidebooks.

I guess I’m full of contrasts. I can lift heavy in the gym, ride a motorcycle through mountain roads, then slow down over a home-cooked meal and a long conversation. My background is in both the corporate world and luxury hospitality, so I’m naturally adaptable, respectful of different environments, and enjoy connecting with people from all walks of life.

Growing up in China gave me a culture I’m always excited to share. If we cross paths, I’d love to introduce you to the kind of Chinese food you won’t find on a takeaway menu—and maybe you’ll introduce me to your family’s favourite recipe in return.

I’ve worked in both the corporate world and luxury hotels, which has taught me professionalism, adaptability and how to communicate with people from different cultures. I’m comfortable working independently, learning quickly and taking responsibility.

🍳 Cooking
I love cooking healthy, home-style Chinese food and would be happy to share authentic recipes (yes, much more than fried rice! 😉). I’m also passionate about nutrition thanks to my bodybuilding background.

🏋️ Fitness & Wellbeing
As a competitive bodybuilder, I have solid knowledge of strength training, healthy eating and creating sustainable fitness habits. If you’re interested, I’m always happy to share workout tips or even train together.

I’m happiest when I’m outdoors, wandering through a local market, or finding the kind of tiny family-run restaurant that never appears on Google. I love road trips (especially by motorcycle), good coffee, sunsets, meaningful conversations, and laughing over cultural misunderstandings. I believe every place has something to teach us if we’re curious enough.
