    Hey!

Addicted to Travel and discovering new countries, people and cultures.

I come from Cornwall, England and ever since I started travelling a year ago in Australia, I've now been to Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Sri Lanka. Living the backpacker & hostel life. I now want to take my travelling experience to a different level by working in new countries. Which will also help make travelling even cheaper!

Coming from England, fortunately or unfortunately depending on how you look at it, we never have to learn another language from birth, unlike countries where English isn't the first language. Therefore, I've always thought about what it would be like be able to speak another language and been a goal of mine to one day learn another language to a high level. I'm also half French, and quarter German. Which gives me even more motivation to learn a second language. I studied German for 7 years in school and then at college, but I feel I am still nowhere near the level I would like to be. Whenever I visit a foreign country I always try phrases to communicate in their language. The very basic ones, such as 'please may I have', 'thank you', 'good morning', 'good evening'. As I feel it shows respect and that you are trying. I would be very open to learning a new language and more than happy to teach English. I studied English Language and English Literature at school and college.

Hey, I hope you are having an amazing week!

I've always been an outgoing person, my parents were always making sure I was involved in activities on the weekends and I enjoyed the social-side of school a lot, meeting friends and playing sport was my favourite things to do growing up. I played team sports such as Football, Rugby and hockey, and individual sports such as Tennis, Swimming and Badminton. Within these sports, I've won medals and competitions. I was also part of the student council, a house captain, peer mentor and sports captain. Where I exercised my leadership skills and my ability to organise and lead a team or group.
I enjoying exploring a lot as well, which is why I completed the Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh awards.

After high school I completed the International Baccalaureate. Where I studied Economics, Geography, English, Psychology, Maths, E.S.S (Environmental systems and societies) and German. When studying these subject, I had to undertake a number of case studies on affluent (U.S.A), newly developed (India) and third world (Uganda) countries. Giving me a very interesting insight and knowledge of what it's like inside these vastly different countries. I'm very thankful to have studied these topics, as it's helped me understand and connect to the countries I've visited in a way that I don't think I would have been able to, had I not studied the subjects above. I'm hoping that it will help me with the countries I plan to visit in the future as well.

After studying, I worked in a car dealership, six days a week for three years. Which is how I saved up to go travelling. I was constantly greeting new costumers and building rapport with them till eventually they would (hopefully) purchase a vehicle. Among other skills I learned through this employment, my commutations skills improved greatly because, in order to make sure the costumer gets the correct vehicle, the sales person need to be able to actively listen and hear the needs and requirements, as well as handling and overcoming objections. Inevitably, we would come across issues or problems and dealing with them in the right way, whilst keeping the costumer satisfied is vitally important. On occasion I would have to get involved in the servicing side of the business which helped me practice dealing with different types of problems and how to handle them. I'm optimistic that these skills I've accrued will help me in future employment.

Living next to the coast I have always been obsessed with the ocean and surfing has been a passion of mine since I began at fourteen. I also recently obtained my PADI open water diving certificate, whilst in Ko Tao Thailand, and I can't wait to dive more in the future. Living in England, football is huge, so up until I started traveling, I used to play football twice a week as well. About a year ago, whilst in Australia, I started going to the gym, and have continued to do so every week. My family has always been and still are, keen on the idea of maintain good physical health, through consistent exercise, and understanding nutrition, which I think will stick with me forever.

I appreciate you taking the time to read this and I really hope it has helped you in deciding wether or not I would make an appropriate potential employee. If the answer is yes, then I can't wait to get started!

Playing Sport and being active has always come naturally to me. I'm keen to play any sport whether it's table tennis, football (I support Arsenal F.C) or golf. However, the more extreme sports, such as skiing, surfing and diving, I enjoy the most. I'm pretty competitive, and love competition. One of my favourite board games is chess because it's purely about skill and strategy. Whilst traveling, I've learned a lot more card games, I think my favourites are 'sevens' and 'Cabo'. I love watching movies to point where my friends and family would probably call me a 'movie buff'. On my creative side, as you may have seen from my profile picture; I have a passion for photography. I love both digital and film photography. I mainly shoot street and landscape photography.
