Hi! We are a married couple from Zurich, Switzerland. We are travelling for one year (august 2019 - august 2020) and want to visit North- and Southamerica (Canada, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia …). Our goal for this sabbatical is to see beautiful landscapes, to learn about other cultures, to meet interesting people and to connect with regions by working temporarily there. We love being and working outside.

In Switzerland, Tamara works as a Teacher and Martina is an editor/content-manager. We are both good with languages (including some Sign Language) and with people. Cooking is one of our passions and we already did work in catering (planning, cooking, serving many people). We both also have experience as helps in restaurants and hotels. We love the nature and we have work experience on farms (with animals) and in the fields.

We are open minded, persevering and quick learners.

One of our best workaway-experiences! The work was very divers and we learned a lot about sustainable farming in the mountains from Theres and Fritz. We had a great time with Tamara and Martina. We made some silage, building fences, mooving the cows from one place to an other. They cooked very nice meals for us. We wish them a nice trip to Finnland!

We stayed for 10 days with Celia and her family. In this time we helped to extend the garden by cleaning out the soil and used the rocks from there to repair a community street. Usually, we worked 3 hours in the morning and 1-2 hours in the late afternoon.

We spent 10 days with Bonnie and Curtis and it was our first workaway experience. We laughed a lot with them, we learnt many things and it was an amazing opportunity to get to know the land and the people in Dunster and Robson Valley.
