I have lived in Alaska all my life and enjoy spending time outside, connecting with people, and gaining a wide variety of new experiences. Food is something that is particularly important to me, and being involved with the process of growing and harvesting food, in addition to cooking with it, is something that I find very fulfilling. In Alaska, this includes picking berries, harvesting wild fish and meat from the water and land, and gardening. Knowing where my food comes from and participating in the harvesting process is very valuable to me and helps deepen my connection to place. I also greatly enjoy being outdoors and have worked a number of different outdoor jobs, often involving physical labor. I also deeply value conversations with people and forming new connections. In addition to food and the natural world, reading books and enjoying music bring me joy as well.

I have done a variety of experience working outdoor jobs that often require intense physical labor. I have worked on a trail crew, building, maintaining, and repairing forest trails for public use, and have done some maintenance work on public use cabins as well. I have used both hand and power tools for these jobs. I also have experience working with livestock, having worked on a reindeer farm in Alaska, and also have experience working on a vegetable farm in Alaska as well.
