Hi there!
My name is Sofie, I am from Denmark and currently spending some months in Spain travelling and learning Spanish :) I'd love to connect with locals or other travellers while I am here! I'd also be very happy to get opportunities to practice my Spanish - I am a beginner (A1) and currently taking language classes in San Sebastian until the 8th of November, but I would love to practice even more with people I meet during my travels!

About me, I enjoy hiking and being in nature (currently learning to surf as well) and cultural experiences such as visiting museums and historical sites. I am currently studying at masters degree in global development studies and I have experience working in NGOs focusing on human rights, sustainable development and nature conservation, so the environment and sustainability lies close to my heart.

I am a creative person and love drawing, painting, reading and writing. I am also a huge animal-lover and have a lot of experiences looking after animals (both cats, dogs and farm animals). I've done many home-stays and farm-stays around the world both through workaway and self arranged, so I am very used to communal living and being respectful and considerate. I am a quick learner, always eager to learn new skills, and I adapt easily to new situations and people. To me, kind, honest and open-minded communication is key. I am an empath (hsp), and both really enjoy meaningful connections and quiet time to recharge.

I am a master student in Global Development and I have skills in project management, writing grant applications, volunteer engagement, social media management and developing projects in the field of sustainable development. I would love to get more hands-on experience in eco-projects, reforestation and sustainable development. I have an international degree and have lived abroad many times, so my written and spoken English is fluent.

I also enjoy physical work and have worked both in retail, hotels, cleaning firms, and on farms. I have no problem doing physical labour and getting my hands dirty! I am always eager to learn new things and do the best that I can in everything I do. I am up for the challenge!
