Hi there! My name is Shingo, a 29-year-old from Nara, Japan.
I am currently on a Working Holiday in Canada. For the past few months, I have been living in Whitehorse, Yukon, working as both an aurora tour guide and a bus driver. Living and driving in the "Wild North" has been an incredible adventure, but as my visa approaches its end (June 2026), I want to see a different side of this vast country. My plan is to start my journey in Toronto and explore the entire Eastern region of Canada, experiencing its unique culture and history.
Who I am: Back in Japan, I worked as an elementary school teacher. This experience taught me patience, responsibility, and the joy of connecting with people. I am comfortable with children and adaptable to new environments. I am also a freelance web writer with a strong interest in IT and AI. If you need help with website creation or computer-related tasks, I would be happy to assist!
My Personality & Lifestyle: People describe me as calm, responsible, and friendly. My daily routine includes strength training, so I am physically fit and ready for active tasks. Regarding accommodation, I am very used to living in shared houses and enjoy socializing with others, though having a private room would be preferable.

Teaching: Since I worked as an elementary school teacher in Japan, I have experience teaching. I would be happy to teach you Japanese language and culture clearly and patiently. Learning: English: I use it daily for work, but I am always eager to improve my fluency. French: I would be happy to learn some basics, especially since I am traveling to Eastern Canada. Others: I am generally interested in new languages, so if you speak another language, I would love to be exposed to it and learn a few phrases!
